Default Royal Family at the Disney On Ice- Princess Classics,National Indoor Stadium 26.04.05

It was an excellent show! Queen Saleha, Crown Prince Billah, Princess Sarah, Prince Malik, Princess Majeedah, Princess Hafizah, Princess Zariah and children & Princess Rashidah's children were at the show. Prince Qawi was the host for the night. The Crown Prince & Princess Sarah were very close and affectionate with each other

Thanks for the pics Alfie. Is it true, were Sarah and Billah really affectionate? Were they holding hands? I hope so, because everytime we see them on tv, they seem to be quite distant towards each other - at least Billah seems distant, even though Sarah tries to get his attention. It would be nice to see him looking and smiling at her, once in awhile. I would love to see them acting more like a couple in public. Of course in a respectful manner :)

Your most welcome Zina! Yes they were affectionate and holding hands once in a while, this is only when the photographs and tv crew weren't focus on them, Crown Prince was more relax and affectionate when the royal couple weren't the centre of attention. Yes! I agree with you Zina he should show his affection more often. Like the Crown Prince of Denmark who showers his affection to his wife Princess Mary even during official engagements, thats a romantic for you hehehe

Yes, the Crown Prince can show his affection with small actions. For example, when the two of them get out the car , he can wait for Sarah to get out also, before walking ahead. And I noticed when mingling with VIPS at the wedding, he left Sarah standing alone with little Prince Mateen! He should have took Sarah under his wing, so to speak, and introduce her to guests as his wife. They can put on a more united front that way. Instead, the CP tends to forget she's even there! He should take a course in etiquette - "How To Be A Gentlemen"

lovely pics alfie. I have to say, Prince Qawi looks very handsome!
Any news on his rumoured engagement to Princess Majeedah? I think they'd make a wonderfully attractive couple

Yes, at that time she was known as Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam. Now she is known as Dayang Hajjah Mariam.

Thank you Humera! Yes, Prince Qawi is handsome but I wish he could lose some weight he was more handsome in his early 20s when he was slimmer hehe.
Well the wedding seems to be still on for some time in August/September. Hopefully we will hear some news next month. I'll keep you posted

I'm not so sure about that match. Majeedah's parents (HM & Raja Isteri) and Qawi's parents (Prince Mohd and Pg Ak Isteri Hjh Zariah) are each others' siblings. HM is Prince Mohd's brother and Raja Isteri is PAI Hjh Zariah's sister. If Qawi married Majeedah it would be almost like marrying his sister! Because the two of them are from the same bloodline. It's too close - not to mention, dangerous to any future offspring!

I have heard that Qawi is objecting to the marriage and that is why the wedding is postponed. Any truth in those rumours? Qawi is a smart guy, so it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't want to marry his cousin. In this day and age, the royal family should have more sense.

Prince Qawi is 31, I can't remember when his birthday is. On Zina's comment I agree it is not suitable but what can you do. He has concerns but he still has to carry on with it.

oh yes Im aware of the close relationship and I dont think its suitable either. Especially considering how prevalent such marriages are within the royal family. I was just commenting on Qawi and Majeedah's physical attributes. They're both quite attractive. If they do marry, they'd make a good looking couple.

Doesn't the sultan realize the ill-effects of marriages within the family? The Crown Prince obviously married outside the family, most likely to ensure a healthy bloodline for the succession of the throne. Why wouldnt the sultan want the same for Princess Majeedah? I know you wont have an definite answer ofcourse but what do the average people say about this?
