A couple of years ago, a princess of Brunei interned in the my country for 6 months. We at the office all knew who she was but were supposed to pretend we didn't....just the fact that she is from Brunei. She came in twice or thrice a week. She turned out to be quite nice and interesting, lively but not loud, no airs, respectful to the office help (i.e. cleaner/server of food), has beautiful manners and language. The artsy type and very fashionable, her stuff were obviously expensive but not those with very obvious designer logos. But she wore high street labels too. Mostly simple jewelry. Ate food from the cafeteria... quite plain food, nothing fancy at all. Did not require take away food from restaurants. Had 3 or 4 bodyguards with her. Didn't work directly with her but ate lunch together as a group. Loves her nephew to bits. She left after 6 months to pursue other studies/interests in London. She said she grew up in Brunei and LA. Oh, and she graduated from UBC in Vancouver.
