Rejimen Askar Melayu DiRaja (Malay Royal Regiment) takes part in London Public Duties
Great honour for Malaysian armies. So far only Australia, Canada and Jamaica had been given this honour.

Yeah, on paper it is a "foreign" regiment guarding the Queen and/or her palaces, but put it down to the Commonwealth "ties that bind". In any case, it's a great honour.

Prince Albert II's official visit to Sarawak, Malaysia
The state television last night announced that His Serene Highness Sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco will make a 2 day visit to the state of Sarawak in Malaysia. He will be welcomed by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak (The Governor) Tun Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin in a state dinner.

Olympic Torch Relay in Kuala Lumpur
It was confirmed by the news last night that Paduka Seri Sultan Azlan Muhibbudin Shah The Sultan of Perak will be one of the torch bearers in the Olympic Torch Relay which will take place in Kuala Lumpur today at 2.00pm. His Royal Highness will be the final bearer at KLCC area as it ends around 6pm.

213th Conference of Malay Rulers in Kuala Lumpur
All Rulers present except Sultans of Johor and Pahang represented by Crown Princes. The Conference is convened three times a year. Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin is the current chairman.

State Opening of Malaysian Parliament
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong attended the ceremony today at Parliament House. The ceremony began at 10.00am with the King inspecting the guard of honour followed by the King's speech at the House of Common at about 10.45am.

Hello Forum-ers!
Perak state is very lucky to have a a royal member like HRH Zara - she seemed uniquely extraordinary. If God willing, would love to see her crowned the Permaisuri in near future but in the mean time, already enjoying her role as the regent's spouse very much.
