 The Regiment guarding Buckingham Palace looks very smart, and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's black and gold investure uniform is equally impressive.

State Visit of President of Bosnia and Herzegovina
President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Haris Silajdzic is on a five-day State Visit to Malaysia. He was given a State Welcome by His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at Parliament Square in Kuala Lumpur this morning. The President will attend a State Banquet hosted by His Majesty The King at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur tonight.

214th Conference of Malay Rulers 2-3 July 2008
The 214th Conference of Malay Rulers. which was ended today, was attended by His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and all Rulers and Governors except Sultan Johor who was represented by the Crown Prince Tunku Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Pahang represented by the Regent Tengku Abdullah and Terengganu by the Head of The Regency Council Tengku Seri Panglima Raja Tengku Baderulzaman. The first day on 2 July 2008, the meeting was held at Istana Negara and today at Istana Melawati in Putrajaya.

The former Governor of Malacca died
Tun Syed Ahmad Ibni Syed Mahmud Shabuddin passed away on 7 July 2008. He was once appointed by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and Conference of Rulers as the 5th Governor (Yang Di-Pertua Negeri) of Melaka.

50th Anniversary of the Reign of Sultan of Kedah
Many ceremonies are scheduled next week to celebrate the event. Sultan of Kedah ascended the throne on 14 July 1958. More details to be known later.

Tomorrow 15 July 2008, a history will be marked when the Sultan of Kedah, His Royal Highness Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah celebrates his 50 years of reign on the throne of the state. There are many events scheduled for this Golden Jubilee Celebration but for the attention of this forum, there will be a glittering Ceremony of Royal Parade at Alor Star in the State of Kedah tomorrow morning, full of pomp and pagentry, steeped with Royal tradition of Malay Sultanate of Kedah. His Royal Highness and consort, Sultanah Haminah will be riding a golden barge that will be accompanied by three elephants to the centre of Alor Star city. 15 July 2008: 50th Anniversary of the Reign of Sultan of Kedah
The Royal Parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the reign of Sultan Kedah has begun just now with the Sultan and Sultanah of Kedah making their way to Medan Bandar Alor Star to attend the Declaration Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee.
Besides the Royal Couple, Raja Muda of Kedah (Crown Prince) Tunku Abdul Malik and his consort Raja Puan Muda Tunku Sharifa Raudhah are also in attendance. Besides the daughters of the Sultan, Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz, Tunku Puteri Soraya and her husband the Raja Kechil Sulong of Perak are also present. Indeed not very often we could see this glittering occassion, probably once in a lifetime since the last time we saw a Malay Ruler celebrating his Golden Jubilee was the the late Raja of Perlis Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra, but it was many many years ago.
