| Schedule Of Events For The Official Birthday Of King Of Malaysia Tomorrow
8.00am: Trooping the Colour will be held at Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur. Their Majesties King Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin and Queen Tuanku Fauziah will be attending the ceremony. Prime Minister, ministers, Chiefs of Army, generals, MPs, judges, government officials and their wives will attend. This ceremony is open to public. The Royal Standards will be paraded during this military parade. RTM TV 1 will broadcast it live. 11.00am: Their Majesties will attend investiture at National Palace to honour various individuals who have contributed to the nation. Birthday list will be released tomorrow by mainstream newspapers in Malaysia. At around 4.30pm: Garden Tea Party at National Palace The picture of Trooping the Colour last year. |

| News Courtesy of Bernama News Agency June 04, 2005 King, Queen Attend Trooping Of Colours Ceremony KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Bernama) -- The Yang di- Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid, Saturday attended a Trooping of the Colours and a Band Performance by the Malaysian Armed Forces at Dataran Merdeka here in conjunction with the King's 62nd official birthday celebration. The ceremony symbolises a pledge of loyalty by the Malaysian armed forces to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Soon after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong arrived at Dataran Merdeka at 8am, the Central Band of the Armed Forces comprising an officer and 92 personnel played the "Negaraku" national anthem. This was followed by the "Royal Salute" march-past accompanied by the firing of a 21-gun salute and a flypast by five armed forces helicopters bearing the flags of Malaysia, the Armed Forces, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong then inspected a guard-of-honour mounted by 20 officers and 507 personnel from the three services of the armed forces, accompanied by Chief of the Armed Forces Laksamana Tan Sri Mohd Anwar Mohd Nor and parade commander Leftenan Kolonel Mustapha Omar. The Central Band then delivered its performance. This was followed by the Trooping of the Colours and the playing of the national anthem. The officers and personnel of the parade shouted "Daulat Tuanku" and gave the "Royal Salute" as five armed forces helicopters did a flypast. News courtesy of The Star: Thousands swarm to watch grand parade KUALA LUMPUR: The thousands who flocked to Dataran Merdeka to watch the grand parade and trooping the colours to mark the 62nd birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail made it a glorious and vibrant event. Malaysians as well as tourists turned the event into a family outing, with many coming to the popular square early to get a strategic spot for a glimpse of the King and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid. The royal couple, escorted by a motorcade, arrived at the historical Sultan Abdul Samad building at 8am and a 92-member armed forces band immediately struck up the Negaraku. This was followed by the royal salute march-past and a 21-gun salute and fly-past by five armed forces helicopters bearing the Jalur Gemilang as well as the flags of the three components of the armed forces – the army, navy and air force. The King, accompanied by armed forces chief Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Anwar Mohd Nor and parade commander Lt Kol Mustapha Omar, then inspected a guard-of-honour mounted by 20 officers and 507 staff from the armed forces. The band then played By Land and Sea and Glorious Victory. This was followed by trooping the colours and the King's royal standard. The national anthem was played again, followed by three cheers of Daulat Tuanku! The hour-long ceremony, which symbolises a pledge of loyalty by the Malaysian armed forces to the King, who is their supreme commander, ended with another round of the royal salute and fly-past by the helicopters. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, as well as their wives, were present. Also at the event were Cabinet members, foreign diplomats, senior government officials and corporate heads. Later in the afternoon, the King and Queen attended a tea reception in the grounds of the Istana Negara. Abdullah and Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood accompanied their majesties. | Grandmother of Sultan of Terengganu passed away
It is with great sadness to announce that Madam Sharifah Aishah Abd. Rahman Al-Junid, 92 years old passed away- yesterday at 4pm in Royal Ward, Kuala Terengganu Hospital. Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu and his consort, Permaisuri Nur Zahirah as well as their relatives were on her bedside. The mortal remain of Almarhumah Madam Sharifah Aishah was buried at the Royal Mausoleum of Al Muktafi Billah Mosque, Terengganu this morning at 10am. May she rest in eternal peace. Amin ya Rabbal Alamin. |

The two-day meeting, which began Wednesday was chaired by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Jaafar Tuanku Abdul Rahman, said a statement issued by the Office of the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal. The meeting discussed matters related to security, religion and the appointment of Federal Court judges and Public Service Commission members, among others, it added.
