Pope Francis has started off the holiday season with a pretty grim message to the world.

“It’s all a charade. The world has not understood the way of peace. The whole world is at war,” Pope Francis said. “A war can be justified, so to speak, with many, many reasons, but when all the world as it is today, at war, piecemeal though that war may be—a little here, a little there—there is no justification.”

It is very heart breaking to hear this message and yet it rings so true. Wishing all the world leaders to come together now more then ever to bring peace to everyone, there are so many in dire need of help now and the time for change is right now, this very moment.

Pope Francis opens the Holy Door - December 8, 2015.

A frail Pope Emeritus (Father Benedict as he wanted to be called, but was pressured/bullied into using this grand/strange title) attended the opening of the Holy Door ceremony - December 8, 2015.

See this post by Benodette for pictures of Benedict in The Pope Benedict XVI Forum - A seriously/reliable forum (I have followed for many years) about Pope Benedict XVI and his successor Pope Francis.
