Yes. Like Denmark we will have a wait. Not a christening, but a traditional Bhutanese naming ceremony is held. We had to wait over 2 months with his brother.

Lovely calendar picture and fitting certainly. Though I had been hoping for a photo of the new family of four or just the new baby.
I was hoping one too. I remember that they showed lots of pictures (not only calender pictures) when little Jigme was born. But we are now facing a worldwide pandemic, so I think it's not the right time to show the little prince just yet. All pictures we're going to get is about the country and the efforts they will be doing to stop the virus from spreading. We'll have to wait, but we will see the baby prince eventually :flowers:

The King visited Tsirang and Gelephu on the 31st of March, and has visited Zhemgang, Trongsa, Bumthang, Mongar, and Tashiyangtse since then.

Today visits the Mongar Covid-19 hospital.

Happy May (#stay safe) to all!!!!

"This month’s calendar features the Daga Tashi Yangtse Dzong in Dagana. Built on the instructions of the Zhabdrung in the 1650’s, the Dzong in Dagana is an important historic structure that contributed to consolidate the unity of Bhutan. His Majesty recently visited the Dzong and offered prayers during a tour of the central-southern dzongkhags to oversee COVID-19 preparations."

I'm surprised that we haven't seen the new little prince yet - I wonder if he might appear on the June calendar photos?

How long did your first child appear after your birth?

We got the first photo of the little prince with his parents and grandfather when he was four days old though you could barely see him.

https://people.com/royals/bhutans-king-and-queen-share-first-photo-of-royal-baby/

At two weeks old they released better close up photos of the baby.

https://people.com/royals/the-king-...re-first-close-up-photos-of-two-week-old-son/

They may have held off on sharing photos of their new son as they want to focus on the virus and helping those in their country. The first photo of the little crown prince also coincided with an important holiday in Bhutan. And the second photo with the king's birthday. They seem to pick dates of importance for such.

I am hoping though we may see a photo soon. The name is not surprising, we had to wait 2 months for his brother's.

Made my day getting that. Such a beautiful family photo.

Can’t wait for his name. Be interesting to see how they handle the naming ceremony with covid. Probably forgo it for a simple private ceremony.

:previous: Love that last photo, perfect.

They spoiled us for the queen's upcoming birthday. Such wonderful photos.

Its sweet seeing the king with his two sons together. The big brother seems very happy. But I also love the solo photo of the queen and her baby.

And the garden setting is so wonderful. Especially with the queen's outfit.

That newborn looks like he is already laughing and smiling! Too adorable!?

:previous: Really? I always think of an 8 week old as still a newborn.

But no matter. It is indeed a beautiful and heartwarming sight.;)

Lovely pictures!!! I absolutely love the one with Jetsun Pema and her baby boy! The baby is still young to tell who he looks like, but to me, he looks quite different from his older brother when he was born. Little Jigme looks a bit like his father (but with mother's lips), and I think this baby will take after his mother.

How adorable!! The photos are sooo cute!

Such beautiful and lovely pictures.

Such an handsome family ! Heartwarming pix !

I'm glad we finally got some photos of the beautiful little prince! Little Jigme seems to be very pleased with his baby brother too. They're a lovely family -looking forward into hearing the name.

Yes a beautiful loving family and always so colourful.
I thank them for being so generous to share with us these lovely family photos.
It is nice to see something so heartwarming in these trying times.

A new picture of the Queen for the occassion of her 30th Birthday tomorrow!!!
