On October 7th, GD Henri and HGD Guillaume attended the 100 years of engineering education in Luxembourg. In 1916, there were only 15 students and they took lessons at a trade school in Limpertsberg. Now, the University of Luxembourg offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.

On October 8th, the GD and HGD couples attended the 16th Museum Night. GD Henri and GD Maria Teresa attended the official opening at the National Museum of Natural History. Then, they joined the HGD Guillaume and HGD Stéphanie at Villa Vauban, Art Museum of the City of Luxembourg.

On October 12th, the GD and HGD couples visited Verdun, France to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Verdun, and visited two exhibitions "Que reste-t-il de la Grande-Guerre?" and "Les Artisans de la Paix" in Ossuaire de Douaumont. Students from Luxembourg Lycée Aline Lycéens Mayrisch and Nordstad Unesco network also attended to learn about WWI, the crisis in Ukraine, and other major regional European conflicts. The day concluded with a lecture by French TV journalist Laurent Parisot, Strategic Affairs Adviser at the French Foreign Ministry Alexandre Escorcia, and the Grand Duke.
