Thanks for the scan. He looks like one of those cute, harmless, and not quite frail old people.

Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla as well as the other four children and some grandchildren had come to the receipt. There for the moment still none are pictures.

the reception probably.
A bit late, but my best wishes for GD Jean! I hope he is coping well without his wife, they always seemed such a charming couple!
BTW does anybody know if Josephine-Charlotte wore two tiara's at her wedding (not at the same time). The picture dimal posted shows the one Sybilla is wearing quite often these days while on images I have seen I always saw the diademe her daughters and Marie-Theresa wore on their wedding days as well (such a beautiful, simple tiara).

She did wear two tiaras, one for the ceremony and one for the pictures. The ceremony tiara was [IIRC] the Congo Necklace tiara, and the picture tiara was the Belgian Empire tiara [which she famously lent to her daughter-in-law Sibilla, but not to Maria-Teresa].

To the best of my recollection, Maria Teresa has never worn the Belgian Empire tiara at all....and I've only seen her with the Congo Necklace tiara on her wedding day. She seems to favor the Chaumet pearl tiara and the aquamarine bracelet tiara. I'll try and find some pictures later.

Interesting...why are they doing this now? I would think that they should have done this a long time ago.

The picture has his mother, Grand Duchess Charlotte and siblings,
Princess Elizabeth (born 1922), who married HSH Duke Franz of Hohenberg (1927 - 1977)
Princess Marie-Adélaide (born 1924), who married Karl, Count Henckel of Donnersmarck (born 1928).
Princess Marie Gabriele (born 1925), who married Knud, Count of Holstein-Ledreborg (1919 - 2001).
Prince Charles (1927 - 1977), who married commoner Joan Dillon.
Princess Alix (born 1929), who married Anton, Prince of Ligne.
Grand Duchess Charlotte was married to Prince Felix.
