It looks like all the time, but with the lackage of photos lately, I'm not quite sure.

right now, imo, it's an even mix of his two parental units. although, he might start to look a tad bit more like jean as he gets older. but as always with genetics, you never know.

Hooray! It's Grand Duke Jean's birthday tomorrow (5th January 1921). I think that would make him the ripe old age of 84!!! Happy Birthday!!! :) :flower:

Grand Duke Jean joined the Irish Guards [a regiment of the British Army] during World War II and saw action at Normandy, the Battle of Caen, and the liberation of Brussels. He attained the rank of lieutenant, then captain. He was promoted to colonel in 1984. He is also a Knight of the Garter. These two rankings put him to ride immediately behind the Queen during Trooping the Colour, with Prince Charles, Prince Phillip, and the Duke of Kent.

Lollies!

Is he still actually counting? Or does he just say, "I'm old enough" when asked?

I remember reading somewhere that Grand Duke Jean is no longer Colonel of the Irish Guards. I think he resigned from the regiment.

No, I'm pretty sure he's there nearly every year, and they also go to Royal Ascot.
