Very sad and devastating news even though as expected. I have been keeping logged in the Forums every hour since the news of his deteriorating condition in hope for a miracle. May he rest in peace and my utmost thoughts are with the entire Grand Ducal family during this difficult time.

Very sad news indeed. My mother-in-law went into hospital for the same complaint 3 weeks ago and passed away last week. Same age as the Grand Duke.

I had an eerie feeling that he was gone just now, so I signed onto TRF and sure enough.

The end of a long, amazing life. RIP, Soldier Prince.

Condoleances to his family, may he rest in peace...
