Japan Prince Hitachi, younger brother of Emperor Akihito, on a four-day visit to El Salvador with his wife Hanako, visited a shelter housing storm victims Friday and donated mattresses, blankets and water purifiers worth a total 112,149 dollars, a foreign ministry source told AFP.

According to one of my mother's close friend, Hitachi couple are one of the nicest people in the world and extremely down to earth, especially as being Royal couple. Thank you for those wonderful pictures.

I agree even if I don't know them personally. Prince Hitachi remains silent over the succession crisis, unlike some of the Imperial Princes. That's a very kind gesture.

Thats very true, I think he has his own personal reasons for doing so. But personally, I think the reason why he kept silent about the whole succession crisis because he had experienced the whole thing before back-in-the-day.

But kudos to him on keeping silent with the whole succession crisis and the problems involved.:clap:

Prince and Princess Hitachi are visiting Peru and Bolivia to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to these countries.

The Prince laid a wreath at the centenary memorial in Lima, and the royal couple later attended a reception hosted by President Garcia. They also met with representatives of the Japanese community in Lima. Today they travelled to Bolivia, where tomorrow they will meet with President Morales.
