Sorry about that!
Thanks for the link to the other thread :)

Japan's Pregnant Princess Doing Well
........................During a medical examination Thursday, the first since the July 18 announcement of the problem, doctors said both Kiko and her fetus are "stable," said Imperial Household Agency spokesman Yasuo Moriyama.

Kiko has been resting since the problems were found.

Although she still has the placenta problem, "everything else is going smoothly," Moriyama said. "No other immediate problems have been found."....................

I think the sex of the baby is already known. I also think it's sad that they put so much emphasis on a male heir.

Safe birth ceremony held for Japan's Princess Kiko
Japan's Princess Kiko, pregnant with a possible heir to the throne, donned a red and white silk "obi" sash in a traditional ceremony on Tuesday to pray for the royal infant's safe birth................The brief "Chakutai no Gi" ceremony is traditionally conducted in the ninth month of pregnancy on the Day of the Dog according to the zodiac calendar, because dogs are believed to have an easy time giving birth.
Akishino, clad in a morning coat, stood by and then tied the knot after Kiko's chief lady-in-waiting helped to wrap the sash -- a present from Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko -- over her ivory-coloured silk dress, an agency spokesman said...............

Princess Kiko puts on special obi to pray for safe delivery
..................."Chakutai-no-gi" is an imperial ceremony conducted on the Day of the Dog during a mother's ninth month of pregnancy because dogs are believed to have relatively easy deliveries. The auspicious day, which is based on the 12 signs of the Oriental Zodiac, comes every 12 days.
On Tuesday morning, a messenger sent from Prince Mikasa, an uncle of Emperor Akihito, carried to Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko's residence in Tokyo a red and white silk obi that had been presented by the emperor and Empress Michiko, the agency said. Princess Kiko wrapped the obi around her stomach with the help of her chief maid. Clad in a morning coat, Prince Akishino looked on, the agency said...................

I was just reading some of the news and so far it's the same articles from 22 hours ago, according to google news search by date. Even though I personally don't like some of the lines in those articles as 'possible heir' etc, I hope everything will be okay for her health and she delivers a healthy child. Best wishes for her and their family. I think we are actually closer to the date of birth than what we thought, so she could deliver the baby any time now.

Princess Kiko enters Tokyo hospital ahead of delivery
Princess Kiko, now 34 weeks pregnant with a possible heir to the throne, entered Aiiku Hospital in Tokyo's Minato Ward on Wednesday ahead of her expected delivery of her third child in early September....................The operation will be the first Caesarean for a member of the imperial family.

The princess is in stable condition with no sign of bleeding, and the fetus is developing normally, according to the Imperial Household Agency. The princess's chief physician, Masao Nakabayashi, heads the private hospital, and other key members of her obstetric team, including Tomoko Adachi, also work there. The hospital is noted for its facilities designed to handle emergency deliveries.
Nakabayashi's team will finalize the date of delivery by carefully studying the condition of the mother and her baby, with preparations under way for the princess to give birth around Sept. 6......................The new baby will be the 23rd member of the imperial family..................................

Mandyy - Thank you so much for keeping us up to date with these photos. I really do hope everything goes well for Kiko. In these pictures, IMO for the first time, she shows a bit of strain? concern? something different on her face. All this must be difficult for her. Question: do any of our posters know anything about her personality? what she is like as a person? what hobbies she has?

Does anyone really believe that its likely that

1) The IHA does not know the gender of the baby?

2) The IHA would be taking these kind of precautions (admitting her to a hospital weeks before her due date) if they didn't know it was a boy?

dlw92 -- read the posts on the either "kiko is pregnant for the third time" or the imperial household agency thread and you will see a huge discussion on this.

Is Mako wearing her school uniform?

I don't think so. The students in Japan are still on their last days of a school break.

Prince Akishino to make official visit to Paraguay in late October
The prince was originally scheduled to visit the country early this month to attend a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the beginning of Japanese emigration to the country, but the agency had to reschedule the visit due to his wife's planned childbirth, it said....................During the visit, the 40-year-old prince is expected to meet with Paraguayan President Nicanor Duarte, visit the southern city of La Colmena, where Japanese immigrants first settled in the country, and interact with Japanese living there.....................
