According to one of my mother's close friend, Hitachi couple are one of the nicest people in the world and extremely down to earth, especially as being Royal couple. Thank you for those wonderful pictures.

I agree even if I don't know them personally. Prince Hitachi remains silent over the succession crisis, unlike some of the Imperial Princes. That's a very kind gesture.

Prince and Princess Hitachi during the ceremony of the 18th Praemium Imperiale awards , in Tokyo, Wednesday 18 October 2006. The Praemium Imperiale is a global arts prize awarded by the Japan Art Association to artists for their achievement in five fields: painting, sculpture, music, architecture, theatre and film.

Thats very true, I think he has his own personal reasons for doing so. But personally, I think the reason why he kept silent about the whole succession crisis because he had experienced the whole thing before back-in-the-day.

But kudos to him on keeping silent with the whole succession crisis and the problems involved.
