From Tom and Lorenzo

Cathy Cambridge Pops Out for a Bit | Tom & Lorenzo

They also mention how trim William looks (or as they call him "hubster Bill") in a perhaps-new suit.

Thanks for the article. I had first though Kate was wearing a lace dress, but the closeup photos show that it's eyelet material. She did look very lovely and it's nice to see the increasing bump!

Other than the hat in that outfit and hair, the dress was stunning! Nobody could have outshined Elizabeth on that day although the weather did try. It was press who made Catherine outshine Elizabeth drama.

This kind of reminds me of a comment someone made on the DM website where the headlines read "Queen Steals The Show...". Short, sweet and succinct the comment was "The Queen didn't steal the show... she IS the show"

With my first one I didn't even have to wear maternity clothes and I'm no where where near as tall as Kate...with my second I didn't wear maternity clothes until I was 7 months along. Every woman carries differently according to build....she's got such a small frame there's no where for her to hide things.

She's not due till mid July or later?

T and L always make me smile. They are not reverential - but they are seriously FUN.

I loved the outfit - it was a great choice for the occasion. It was elegant but subtle so as to not overshadow the queen.
youre right about 4 weeks my mistake and I think the style of the coat hides the bump in the fotos

Duchess of Cambridge out & about in blue dress and pink cardigan (a magazine's cover).

**Picture**

Maybe HQ or better photo will pop up like it did when she went shopping with her mother.

Finally we get clear pictures:

Is she back from Wales or are all these shopping pics from before she and Lupo hopped the train to Wales?

Before she went. Said to be last Tuesday after the Abbey service.

The blue dress is a perfect maternity dress and matched with a lovely pink cardigan. Great spring/summer outfit.

Doesn't look very comfortable to me. Way too fitted and fussy.

It's not fitted. It's a soft jersey material maternity dress, with an empire waist. I imagine it's about as comfortable as it gets at this point in her pregnancy.

(Honestly, an empire waist sundress with a cardigan is my go-to comfort outfit as is- you don't even need to be pregnant for that particular look to be comfortable while still looking put together)

To me, having a waist, empire or not, with a tie is fitted at 8 months pregnant. Agree that jersey is comfy, but it's also clingy and clingy and hot and pregnant also don't spell comfort to me. I had two summer babies and remember the stiff, tent like dresses were the best.

Since Catherine was wearing a cardigan with the dress, I think we can assume that she wasn't too warm in the dress. And at the earlier Coronation service, most of the women (and all of the men) had on coats of one sort or another.

Perhaps you've never been in London in early June? I also live in New England, and I've found London to be generally cooler in late spring. That particular day the temp was in the mid 60's at its highest. A jersey dress with a cardigan probably felt quite comfortable in the later part of the afternoon.

Perfect maternity dress, de-emphsizes the bump. Well now we get a vacation from all this until the big day of the birth!

No yet She'll make her last solo appearance before birth on Thrusday and hopefully last family appearances at Trooping The Colour and Order of the Garter. I think then, we'll all get a vacation and wait anxiously for the birth. (However, I still think we will get to see her after that for shopping or whatever...)

My information on how warm she was came from the always unreliable Daily Mail. They quoted the store owners as saying Kate was "feeling the heat" and sat her down and gave her a glass of water. And, that it was so warm the shop door was left open(no AC?) I was confused about the cardigan, but figured it was for coverage because of the dress.
And, yes, I know how miserable, wet and cool it can be in London in the spring, sort of like New England now.
Daily Mail reporting aside, she looked uncomfortable to me, both the dress and cardi looked a little small, and 8 months pregnant women are much warmer anyway. I'm sure I was super-imposing pregancy memories on Kate
