Hmm, I don't think the dress is very interesting, but she looks like a total babe tonight, damn. If she wasn't a Duchess and just a random woman walking down the carpet , she'd still turn as many heads.

A lot of speculation it is a white version of her Charles' birthday gown.

The gown is nice, nothing exciting, but slight change for her. I do find it has a wedding feel to it. If it is indeed a white version of the birthday gown, I wish she had worn the rose. It would have taken away the wedding feel. And since we didn't see the birthday gown other then shoulder, would still have been a newer look.

Hair and jewelry are elegant.

If its the same design, then its not Jenny Packham. Jenny was the top choice of guesses for the birthday (with Temperly or Mcqueen), but it was confirmed by the WhatKatewears blog it wasn't a Packham dress.

To me she really reminds me of Maxima: when she gets it wrong she really get it wrong (Erdem curtains, Netherlands State dinner 1980s ruffle) and when she gets it right it is just incredible.

I also love how she has corrected her posture: no more slouching now and how she has embraced the big guns / leave all the Kiki at home.

I am really looking forward to see her get even better at this Duchess job. I think many consort have hit their stride in their 40s and it looks the DoC will be no exception

She looks beautiful. Dress, hair and jewelry are all lovely. She doesn’t wear a lot of one shoulder gowns; so this is a bit different.

The Duchess of Cambridge looks amazing!
Personally I never got the white for brides (in itself a fairly new thing in fashion history- speaking of members of the British royal family and their influence on fashion).
What Catherine (and her stylist, who continues to excel in her job) did smartly was bling up the look with jewels that really complimented the white of the dress.
Though I wish she had either a large necklace or a jewel belt- maybe something with colored pearls rather than white or a an opaque-ish gem stone.. maybe green or aqua in color like an Amazonite, or a Turquoise, or a Rhodonite- which I think would have been amazing in a necklace on Catherine!!
Overall a well fitted dress appropriate for the event, and breaking what could have been a monotone too much white on white with jewelry.

I am off to find a cheap copy of the earrings, i’m inlove with them!
Every time I see Catherine in pearls I once again crave a pair of pearl earrings and necklace.

This is a gorgeous dress on Catherine. A one shouldered evening dress + chiffon + a swirly skirt = perfection. I was not an admirer of the blue crinkled number she wore to the banquet with Maxima and W-A, but this is a look I can get behind. If this is a white version of the dress she wore to the birthday party for Charles, I'd be fine if she got it in another color, too, perhaps a pale blue or soft yellow.

I love this look on Kate. I think it’s how everything - hair, makeup, dress, jewelry - comes together so well rather than one specific thing being spectacular. In the past she’s worn dresses I’ve liked more but I didn’t like her hair so much, or whatever. But tonight everything is spot on and she looks really beautiful.

And I agree that her posture has gotten much better. I’ve always found Kate to be attractive but she looks much more elegant and even regal when she stands up straight.

Catherine pulled a blinder tonight and the gown is truly amazing. My only caveat is that it is white which screams bridal so I would love to have seen her in a really flattering colour. However, that being said I have to admit it is a beautiful gown that she wears with confidence and really shows just how far she's come.
