Okay, I really liked the trousers and shoes and would have liked to see her top in a matching red. Unfortunately the white of the top made the stone colour of the coat look cold and mismatched.

I see that Sophie is carrying what can only by termed a "Urban Survival Kit" or USK for short. It is both sizeable and neither matches nor compliments any other part of her ensemble.

Other than her smile, a rare fail.

Nice, if serviceable. I like that Sophie mixes things up & doesn't get stuck in a rut fashion-wise. Fit & flare dresses, sheaths, pants - and they usually all look good on her. Even her (IMO) ill-advised jumpsuit for her mother-in-law's birthday concert showed that she is willing to take chances & have fun with her clothes.

It all works very well and a lovely hairstyle too in Hereford today.

Why am I not a fan of her hair when it's down? Love the outfit, but she just looks unpolished with that hair. I think she looks to elegant when her hair is pulled back.

I'm not a fan of Erdem but this dress suits her. Not sure about the shoes though. I agree that Sophie looks better with a shorter, sharper hair style

I don't know what it is about Sophie, but she really knows how to rock a frock. Black and white print can be overpowering on many women but Sophie looks terrific. I didn't even mind the little cardigan that she wore with it earlier in the day.

The dress is so flattering and it's great to see that Sophie knows a longer length means more can be done with the style. In this case, a flirty hem which softens the line and flatters the legs. I too am team updo on this one but it would have looked odd with a little cardigan I think.

Her jewellery is stellar and her bag is quite interesting but I would have liked a less pointed toe on the shoes. I like the beige better than I would have liked white accessories and black would have been too "winter' I think.

The Countess of Wessex's Fashion and Style, Part 9: April 2018 -

She looks so lovely one of the few that always look elegant hardly puts a foot wrong

:previous: My first thought was um no, but then I thought of the nature and makeup of the engagement she was attending and believe a little less cutting edge was in order.

Well done Sophie.

She looks wonderful.

Agree she looks fabulous her appearances at Windsor also were relaxed yet lovely

Great dress (fabulous color on her), lovely hat! She looks wonderful today at the garden party.

She really looks just perfect. The dress fits beautifully, plain but interest in the scallops, hat the perfect size and worn correctly, hat and bag and shoes matching, great makeup and hair, bravo

Lovely outfit really like the colour.

Thanks for the screen shots - I did not realize it was two pieces.

It looks magnificent in the pews at church. Well done, even as I hoped for a more fashionable shoe.

I love the color and the top. The skirt seems a tad too long, but Sophie always looks beautiful.
