Queen Sofia at the Easter Mass at the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca on March 31, 2013, wearing a combination of a dark skirt and a jacket with a flower print, looks great on her:

At least Queen Sofia wears a black skirt what brings the wild flower pattern a bit down. I wouldnt have worn this when attending mass but its not as bad as Elena's colour mess.

After a long thinking, I´m going to say that I like it.
The jacket isn´t the prettiest one I´ve ever seen, but at least it´s colourful and it´s well-matched with the black skirt.

I don't know what they were thinking? quite a spread of colors and mismatch of styles. But I like the fact that the Queen chose a skirt to go along with her flowery jacket . . . at least it gives something light to talk about . . . ;)

I don't know what it is about Palma de Mallorca that makes the usually well-dressed Queen Sofia wear flowered clothing.

I think the royal ladies were hit and miss this year, maybe their luggage got mixed up :D

The floral jacket is nice, but not suitable for an Easter Mass.

Of the 3 Spanish ladies,Queen Sofia was the best dressed yesterday, but even at that her outfit was just ok.

Sofia pulling all the strings to look FABULOUS at her event in New York, fantastic gown, fantastic look for her. I love those pearls. No way she would have left this event to her DIL who was in the country at the same time :D

Yes, she can not lose the opportunity to renew her wardrobe with dresses of Oscar de la Renta (Free? with a big discount?).

Stunning look for Her Majesty-everything from the gown to the jewels to the bag-all hail the Queen!:flowers:

Its Sofia's showstopper event. The red dress she wore in one of the last events is breathtaking as well. I don't know if she pays for these dresses or if they are a gift by de la Renta.

To be honest, these are proper first class gala dresses and its a shame that Letizia chose - from the beginning - these strange mediocre cheap looking skirt/bustier combos from Varela eg for State Events (apart from one or two Caprile outfits that hit the bar). I've never understood the supposed problem with the budget, as long as the designer is Spanish, who cares.

The Queen looks beautiful! The dress and pearls, all are wonderful and fit her so beautifully.

Fabulous! Sofia looks the epitome of regal elegance. Letizia is not there yet IMO; she does pretty princess. Sofia captures "monarch" and stateliness beautifully between the gown and the jewels.

I agree, HM looked very regal and elegant in the navy dress.

Looks like Oscar de la Renta is her escort for past two events and are both dresses by him? Love the red one the most, he knows how to flatter a woman's figure. Navy dress very flattering, would have preferred a lighter blue, perfect fit but a little MOB for me. Jewels and hair perfect.

Queen Sofia looked fabulous in her Oscar de la Renta gown, which I think is very reminiscent of the Tudor/Renaissance period. I love the colours. If I were grading this dress, Sofia would get an A+.

Her Majesty looked radiant and the colour really suited Queen Sofia.

I love her dress-the drop waist is a different silhouette for her, but it is fab!

The dress is amazing but it's not looking flattering, seems a bit big.
