I found an old picture of Queen Sofia wearing a hat. Or atleast that's what I think it is.

If you can't tell I got the picture from ANP

Unlike QEII's dress style which is predictable, rather boring and intentionally middle-class, Queen Sofia's style is unpredictable. It ranges from incredibly elegant and regal to tasteless and homely. I guess fashion altogether has turned bizarre nowadays. Irrespective of all that, however, her remarkable persona is invariably a winner.

An article about Queen Sofia's dressing habits. She is being praised for dressing more youthful than she used to do but still age appropriate. IMO Sofia is in the top 3 of best dressed Queens of her generation.

Default Valentino and Sofia

I know that Queen Sofia was a patron of Jean Desses who did here wedding gown but subsequently she was a patron with carte blanche at Valentino . I will miss her in his outfits as she sported them like no other with her beautiful figure and good taste.

The bracelets are a bit much, but her suit is absolutely perfect. She looks wonderful.

I really like this outfit. The colours flatter her and are rather cheerful.

Queen Sofia does an impeccable job wearing the red colour and choosing a right hue of the red colour. It is believed that the red colour should be worn by younger ladies. I am glad that Queen Sofia proves the above notion wrong.

Day 3 - a light pink suit.

Queen Sofia's suits are usually perfect, high quality, professionally designed.

Sofia in a long colourful dress. I can't recall seeing it before. Very pretty.

Wow. She has looked fabulous on this trip. I wish we had a view of her evening gown without the stole, but it looks smashing. I also like her evening bag. To me, it reminds me of the Mosaic Imperial Fabrege Easter Egg. LOVED her tiara...so pretty!

Queen Sofia is a truly elegant lady and the fact that she recycles her clothing is a point in her favor. Also, most colours suit her and she has a natural elegance that enhances whatever she wears.
I agree with you GIOV, I think she looks smashing in red.

I love the lilac outfit for the Queen. But I don't think the pink suits her, especially when she's tanned. Lucky her.
