Default Queen Silvia's Fashion and Style

It's not yet the Nobel Prize, but I thought this could be fun topic to talk about.
We start from the beginning

The pictures are from IBL site and I figured out the Tiaras with help from the Royal Jewels of the World site

I like the 1984 picture. Beautiful dress and the tiara looks dashing with it. Although I like them all so much. What I wouldn't give to be able to wear one, just for fun.

I like all the tiaras except for the one with the big circle cameos on it. that I am sorry to say just looks semi-gaudy and not very appealing on her and I can't imagene it looking good on anyone else. i think that is the same tiara I saw on one of the wedding photos somewhere else and i didn't like it there either.

But I must say you did a wonderful job getting all those pictures on here, they are wonderful.

I think the most beautiful creation was 1997, then she looked fantastic! Last year (2002) was not fun at all, the dress was not beutiful and i also think it was to "small", i mean at the nobel the dress should look as Royal as possible.

I also like the one 1996.

Wonderful compilation Josefine.

I liked all the different years, except 1990 was a little interesting.

without the lace collar, it would have been a beautiful dress. I think she generally doesn't look her best in the puffy sleeved dresses either. They tend to overpower her, even if the color is flattering.

I think Queen Silvia is a very worthy representative of Sweden. Thank you so much Josefine for the beautiful pictures. I was a little slow in discovering them. Queen Silvia wears the most beautiful ball gowns. She looks better in slim gowns and not puffy ones. My favorite dress is the 2002 dress. My favorite dinner dress is the 1998 dress. Queen Silvia wears the dresses. They don't wear hear. How nice to see pictures from almost every year she has been Queen. Thanks again Josefine.

Very Nice, Queen Silvia I like her hair behind with the tiara show it ! its more famous !

in Sweden always have traditional like that Nobel Nostalgia the Queen and King and kids have same traditional for reason because Princess Victoria will become Queen of Sweden after her mother the Silvia its very traditional !

Now Princess Victoria is still Crowning Princess she have duty to do at her home !

I liked the 1991 red dress with the saphire tiara. Crimson is the color of Kings and Queens and I think she looks beautiful in it.

You know what I find wonderful about the queen is that she seems to get more beautfull with age. The older she gets the more beautiful she is.

Thanks for all the great pictures!

Can´t we already start dreaming of this years Nobel festivities? What will they wear, will all the children be there etc?
I´m hoping for a new tiara on both Victoria and Madeleine, if they both will attend. What about the Connaught tiara on Victoria with a bright blue or red dress and the four-button tiara on Madeleine in what kind of a dress..?
What pictures do you get in your heds? (this is me dreaming about being able to dress like this myself)

Great idea!!
I bet also Madeleine has already started to puzzle out, which dress she will wear. Is she capable to raise the admiration for her dress and is it actually possible to show more cleavage yet :P ?!
The Leuchtenberg-Tiara would be perfect for Victoria, although I fear this one is until now rather for a higher ranked member of the RF (the Queen). For the Queen I would suggest the Braganca Diamond Tiara (although it must be a feeling as if you would carry a brick on your head the whole evening.)
In my minds eye I see Victoria dress in luscious colours and her dress is a little bit more sexier than Madeleine´s ( I think Madeleine as "third-liner" shouldn´t come to the fore -like last year-too much). Is it actually true, that one of the reasons (next to the fact, that she worked in Paris) why Victoria participated not in 2002 was because she is jealous of Madeleine? Ok, my question is not really answerable.
In 2003 I see no reason why not all three "children" should participate.

I'm sorry but some of these dresses I just don't like. I don't like that yellow one. In fact, I don't like the ones with the big arms like that. Too frumpy looking. I like 1978, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1991, and 1996.

I really like the tiara Queen Silvia wore in 2000. I have never seen it before. I notice that Silvia's tiaras are quite large.
