The outfit looks good. I only don't like the shoes.

Queen Paola attends the annual Christmas concert at Laeken palace, December 15, 2010: Belgian Royals Host Christmas Concert and Reception - Pictures - Zimbio(outfit without the lowest part)

Those many rows of pearl necklaces of different lengths do look beautiful (I always think: pearls & Paola = pure perfection) albeit their retro-style doesn't fully show to advantage while added to this rather modern jacket/trousers combo (which, on its part, exhibits a well chosen cut and has several pretty silk details).

The queen looked very stilish. But I would loved to see a bit more colour.

The simple pearls are to my liking as well! Nothing stresses a woman's beauty more than these jewels.

Queen Paola after a concert at the philharmonic hall in Luxembourg (given to celebrate the 90th birthday of his Royal Highness grand duke Jean of Luxembourg), January 5, 2011: http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Queen+Paola+90th+Birthday+Celebrations+Grand+_TE7vOty96Rl.jpg
Sorry, but I haven't found a better picture so far -would've liked an additional close-up to behold Paola's gold jewelry...
Although we've seen at least that long, velvety jacket of the queen's outfit many a time, it's after my fancy. I also love the brown, silky trousers (in particular due to their soft, wavy hem). Darker warm colours really suit Paola's vanilla complexion as well as her blond hair, i.m.o..

I like the brown velvet outfit too, particularly the coat. The bag is not my cup of tea though.

She looks very elegant in brown.
Sure she wore it before but not sure exactly when.

The black suit is elegant. The only criticism is I don't like the stripes down the sides of the trousers.

Queen Paola on the ship "MS Princesse Marie-Astrid" on the occasion of Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg's 90th birthday celebrations (January 6, 2011):
http://www.tageblatt.lu/diashow/709/...df13545a76.jpg
By now, I'm inclined to say that she's wearing again one of her favourite winter outfits .
The fur jacket's style is simple but quite charming as well as Paola's long buckskin boots, albeit I never understood the virtue of combining gray tones with brown tones... However, the queen does -as usual- look good in flat shoes i.m.o. (which people with not so advantageous proportions viz. shorter legs don't).

She has worn this grey suit before on 10/02/2010

It looks better with black accessories instead of the brown ones she wore this time.

Queen Paola attending the New Year's reception organised by the Royal Family for members of the European Institutions at the Royal Palace in Brussels (January 12, 2011): http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/B...7ewjUjkUYl.jpg (outfit)
http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/B...0t4hIRRqil.jpg (details)
I think it's a new one -happily in brown tones without interfering gray. Paola's jewelry (earrings as well as brooch) looks very appealing i.m.o. and her jacket with its patterns made of different fabrics plus its long edged sleeves is really smart.

Indeed. I think everything was chosen with moderation but I'm afraid the brooch doesn't stand out enough...It should be more shimmering IMO.

Queen Paola at a reception for the Permanent Representatives and the Heads of Mission to NATO, the Members of the International Staff and the Military Representatives to NATO, as well as the general Officers to the SHAPE (Brussels Royal Palace, January 20, 2011): http://www.isopix.be/temp/preview/IS...030986-008.JPG (details)
http://www.isopix.be/temp/preview/IS...030986-016.JPG (outfit without skirt)
This jacket has dressy red edgings and I like Paola's classic, rather massive gold jewelry (e.g. worn lately at the conference "Vulnerable children on the run" in November 2010) as well. Black, red and gold is an attractive looking combination of colours which reminds me a bit of the Belgian flag.

Queen Paola attended a mass in memory of former members of the royal
family at Notre Dame de Laeken church (Brussels, February 17, 2011):
http://i55.tinypic.com/2lm76l2.jpg (entire outfit)
http://www.ppe-agency.com/500px/Feb2011/PPE11021741.jpg (details)
The nested part of Paola's winterly, asymmetrically styled hat looks very chic i.m.o. and I embrace the fact that she has worn some lighter colours (cream coloured silky blouse, olivish gray skirt plus shoes) in combination with her dark coat.
Maybe it's a bit off-topic, but this time I was absolutely amazed at the queen's incredible resemblance to her mother, the late Princess Luisa Ruffo di Calabria (see for an example here http://cdn.theroyalforums.com/forums...8&d=1108298948 at Prince Philippe's communion). In Paola's younger days that wasn't so manifest i.m.o..

Queen Paola attending the preview of director Caroline Glorion's new movie "Joseph, the unsubmissive person" at the Arenberg Cinema in Brussels on February 21, 2011: http://i51.tinypic.com/1zzneq0.jpg
Picture details (close-up)
She has already worn that coat with its prettily structured fabric and nice patterns while visiting the Royal Museum of Central Africa in Tervuren on October 26, 2010: http://i54.tinypic.com/2z4lsba.jpg
Well, when I recently saw the queen at the New Year's receptions, I suspected her of letting her hair grow again (which would have been great), but considering the photos above, it's entirely clear that she didn't have this plan for now... After all, I could admire Paola's fancy strawberry earrings again which are perfectly in line with her cosy greenish clothing beneath the coat -unfortunately not so much with the latter.
