The color is lovely, but not the dress itself.
Me too! All separate pieces are really tasteful i.m.o., yet this combination -including Queen Paola's jewelry- looks extremely busy altogether, featuring various patterns viz. designs (horizontally nested top, jacket with zigzag structures, scarf with flower print, long necklace plus ornamented diamond earrings)... In any case, I have a soft spot for Paola wearing zigzag garments -she manages to appear elegant and rather cool at once.A very nice combination - I especially like the scarf and the jacket!
The queen is just perfectly dressed for the occasion! I always loved those fancy strawberry earrings which define her whole outfit here. Paola has smartly chosen two unichrome, nicely contrasting pieces while abstracting the little strawberry "dots" in order to gather them as pearls around her neck.Today, May 15, Queen Paola was in Melsele wearing a nice combination of pink and black:

I think she looks wonderful. I even like her hat.. She has the panache to pull it off and it gives her outfit a bit of a fun touch! She is a very chic and youthful-looking queen.
As for me, Paola’s new(?) Tahitian pearl necklace was the most remarkable item here –I had nearly suspected her of disliking black pearl jewelry which would have been kind of “tragic” because Tahitians exceedingly flatter ladies with light-coloured hair i.m.o.. From now on, the queen has merited “Pearlina” viz. “Perlina” in Italian as alternative term of endearment to the common affectionate form “Paolina”.Queen Paola at the "Prelude to the National Day" concert in Brussels today, July 20, wearing a nice recycled outfit in silver/grey and looking lovely:
