Normally I loathe jumpsuits on everyone except Charlene of Monaco, but Letizia is absolutely rocking this one! I hate the shoes though...

Normally hate jumpsuits, even on Charlene not a fan of most. There is the rare exception, I love Stephanie's floral one she wore in Cannes. And this is one ?

Its elegant and sophisticated, kind of a tuxedo look to it

Love the blue shoes. Not the height, but the pop of color.

Well, that's disappointing. I agree, that's a bit too revealing with the underpinnings showing.

I'm surprised, usually you can count on Letizia to not be careless about those details.

I wasn't a fan of Letizia's outfit in the first place so the fact that her underwear is showing doesn't affect my opinion. Quite a poor move though! Her stylist/fashion advisors (if she has one) should have pointed this out to her. When one is a monarch these things get picked up on quickly by eagle-eyed press and members of the public.

Outfit is very pretty and classy, but I never love Letizia's back being revealed. She has some part of bones ugly to be seen.

Why are the guests wearing black tie while the King is wearing a business suit ? Didn’t the Royal House get the memo about the dresscode for the evening ?

Lots of people are wearing tie only, not black tie, so I guess they chose the less formal outfit. I think in general in the US it's far more popular to wear black tie than in Europe.

What kind of entertainment was there at this event? Because the preponderance of black dresses on the women in this group suggests a classical music ensemble, for whom the male uniform would likely be a tux regardless of the dress code for guests.
