A... hat? worn at Chelsea Flower Show 1996. She is usually bareheaded at this event.
I love it. It's very unusual. :) (Click for larger image) ![]()

For the events to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, which took place on July 10, 2005, The Queen, like both Her daughters-in-law, wore two outfits and therefor two hats. The first hat She wore was to attend the service at Westminster Abbey and a luncheon for war veterans at Buckingham Palace. The first hat The Queen wore for the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII celebrations After the luncheon, HM changed into another outfit and hat for the parade and the balcony appearance. The second hat worn by The Queen for the events to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII Last edited by A.C.C.; 07-11-2005 at 03:36 AM. |

who designed the Queen's hats?
does she get all her hats from one designer? or she buy whichever she likes(doubt if she has that time), or some designer would send her their hats as gifts?

ok, i did a search and found this on royal insight mag
The Queen always wears clothes by British designers. She is currently wearing clothes by Stewart Parvin, Peter Erione and Karl Ludwig Rehse, who are all based in London. Her hats are designed by Philip Somerville and Marie O'Regan. She also wears outfits designed by her in-house team. The Queen talks her ideas through with her Personal Assistant, Miss Angela Kelly, then sketches of the designs are produced which are shown to Her Majesty along with samples of material for her to choose from. Clothes are then made up by The Queen's Dressmakers.
