Would anyone have any idea what brooch or family order Princess Michael
is wearing at the funeral?
I have the answer to my own question about Princess Michael's order she
was wearing at the funeral.
"HRH was awarded the Order of the Starry Cross by Her Imperial Highness the Archduchess Regina of Austria who died in 2010, she is a Grand Dame of the Order of Malta, and in September 2010 received the Order of Mercy in recognition of her 32 years unpaid charity work."

This is a very elegant black dress, very appropriate for a funeral like this one. I'm normally not too keen on these hats, though it's quite obvious that MC can pull them off very gracefully.

She looked very appropriate, the hat is a repeat from Ascot last year.
The pearls do look like Tahiti pearls to me, Maria-Olivia.

I'm seriously undecided. Although it is an impressive outfit, it must be quite old. The colours suit Princess Michael nevertheless.

I think if the jacket were 6-8" shorter, I would like it. Especially love the necklace and shoe selection. Princess Michael of Kent really knows how to make accessories work for her, imo.

The necklace is wonderful, PM always chooses the right accessories to highlight her outfits!

Yes, it is old. I'm not 100 % sure, but it is possible that she's worn it in the 90's already. At least in the early 00's she has worn it before. I'm not a velvet fan, but I do like it. The pattern and the details of the top are pretty. I'm not sure about the necklace. The golden parts look fake whereas the stones look like rubies, but I guess it would be unlikely to pair rubies of that size with custom jewellry? Also, the size of the stones makes it unlikely that the rubies are real IMO.

The colors of the top are pretty, but this is a very dated look. Now if that was a short velvet jacket with a complementary blouse, it would be a lovelier look. The pattern, embroidery on the cuffs and velvet make it look very heavy, further emphasized by the heavy chunky necklace. I also didn't care for her fur stole with the dangling tails.

Seems as if I'm agreeing all the time with you today. But I have to - the fur stole is actually very pretty, but out of place with this outfit. Princess Michael doesn't seem to care as much about her appearances in the last few years as she used to. She's always been recycling a lot and I think she's good at that, but apart from her outfits at the royal wedding last year I can't really recall seeing her wearing something that wasn't at least ten years old or so lately. Hm...

Princess Michael of Kent attends a thanksgiving service in memory of the late Queen Mother and Princess Margaret at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on March 30, 2012.

Princess Michael looks so elegant and chic in the simplicity of this outfit; the flower tucked under the hat brim gives such a great focal point to the look. A lovely blush/beige color, and I love her pearl earrings and necklace and the shamrock brooch with the emeralds. Understated and beautiful.

My compliments to the hatmaker. It must have taken quite a bit of patience to form the subtle lines from one piece of wool.

I believe the hat is by Philip Treacy. IIRC I've seen it among his latest collection.

I'm glad that he carries a more traditional line in addition to the flamboyant fascinators we usually see. PM's hat is gorgeous and so beautifully crafted.

Oh yes, Treacy actually provides all kind of styles and many gorgeous hats. Princesses Mary and Marie of Denmark have worn them as well and most of Camilla's, Gabriella's and MC's hats are by Treacy. It's just that Zara and the York girls most of the time choose his most OTT designs.
