How tall is Mary? She looks to be about 5'8'', but I could be wrong. Thanks for any information. :flower:

She has certainly worn things that have been wonderful on her, but she does seem to jump around a bit. I would say that in total she does appear to be tasteful, but doesn't really look as comfortable in her clothing as some of the other Princesses. Of course, Mary is a new Princess, so there are adjustments to be made and lots of time. |

I have to disagree. I think out of all the current princesses (apart from perhaps MM), Mary has been the most prepared to step out of the princess mould - by that I mean not wearing what others expect princesses to wear. Her clothes are things that we could wear, instead of those boxy suites that other princesses always seem to favour.

And, as everyone can clearly see from the list, Mary mixes and matches her outfits... and this perhaps more than anything else suggests to me that she's not a follower, but someone who has an independent attitude towards clothing style.
She is more than prepared to create an outfit with what she's got. :flower: :flower: |

LOL! of course not! That would be unrealistic. Can everyone agree on whether or not Maxima's outfits are elegant/harsh... whether Mathilde's is elegant/boring, whether Alexandra's is too old/elegant??? I think you'll find that there's no such thing as universal opinion especially in regards to what people wear. |

Mary has definitely worn her share of boxy suits, especially most recently when she and Fred toured parts of Denmark. I also found that she wore some of the stiffest of hats which did not suit her well at all. They were beautiful suits and hats but not meant for her. She also worn quite a few suits that had jackets that were not really tailored for her particular figure and although they were of nice colors and material, they didn't flatter as well as they could have if they were to have been cut a bit differently. I don't find that Mary is doing things that other Princesses do as does her sister-in-law Alexandra. Alexandra as well sometimes wears things that maker her appear older and that are cut too harshly (also possess too much material) for her small frame, but I guess for some it is like wearing a uniform. Mary hasn't stepped out of any mold, IMO. She is the same to me making some of the mistakes by wearing what she feels that she should wear at times instead of what is most flattering on her. No, I think must disagree with you in many instances. Mary hasn't been innovative in the least. She is tastefully dressed which is good, but that's all. Mary is no fashionista or style icon. When she is she will then set the trends and never follow them, and create her own personal style. |

Mary's still finding her way around in terms of personal style and fashion sense. To say that her style right now beats the other princesses of Europe hands down or that even Mary is a leader in fashion in comparison to these other ladies is much too premature and a major joke. I would harldy call wearing a macrame belt around your waist like what one used to hang plants with in the 80s as style. [/b][/quote]I'm, mostly (not all), disapointed with Mary's fashion of choiced...hopefuly she improve her fashion style as a princes better in the future :flower: . |
