I'm in the minority here, since I loved the dress and the color on her. It's very different and very "girly" with the flowing sleeves and skirt. I think the hat is perfect with the dress. Of course, when I see that great smile, most of the time whatever she's wearing just fades away.

I like the color, but the style is awful. I am surprised to see her in such an ugly, old-fashioned style.

I really love the colour but not the dress it photographs poorly from a distance and she looks like she's wearing a nightie. Love the hat.

And then, sorry to say this, but Maxima knows exactly that she has to disembark the carrier, why chose such a neckline where people are able to see further down her chest (does she wear bra?) than they should be.
I'm afraid the outfit didn't work for me either. Maxima is beautiful whatever she's wearing, as long as she has that wonderful smile of hers, but I didin't like the hat, the outfit and the colour either.

Maxima's latest event: ANP Beeldbank Troonopvolgers!: Prinses Máxima in Haarlem!

As was pointed out in the CEvents thread, this looks to be the dress Maxima wore to F&L's wedding, May 2004.

I think she looks great!

Crown Princess Maxima was stunning in a rosy peach coloured sheer dress, which had a right amount of sparkle. The whole look nicely reflected both unique style and personality of Crown Princess Maxima. I am really impressed with her ability to pull off giant ear-rings.

Maxima's dress is wonderful as usual, yet why does she seem to neglect the state of her hair? It looks so unkempt?

Máxima wore two galadresses designed by Graciela Naum(one for a gala dinner before her wedding, and the other one for Märtha-Louise's wedding) Reina Máxima - Moda: Graciela Naum

Does anyone has a closeup of the handbag? Looks like it was made in the same fabric and has a clear handle. I almost didn't see it. Not sure about the white shoes, but the dress is beautiful.

On the "Moda" page, Maxima looked great in Natan and Missioni, can't say the same about Ferragamo and Chanel. Especially, the Chanel skirt, it looked horrid even on the stick thin model.

I've been waiting a long time!
I remember wondering what the dress looked like at the time, and I'm so pleased I finally do.

Me too! I wanted to see the sheer dress underneath.

The outfit she wore at Felipe's wedding, the purple gown worn to the ball , the red one for her first Prince Day, and the floral gown worn at the King of Thailand's jubilee are still the most elegant she's ever looked. All were Valentino I believe.

I like the second dress. The color combination is very unique, and the overall shape is very nice. The first dress is okay. I don't like the two lines that show through the lace (they look like straps, but they're distracting). The color is also pretty, but I think it would look nicer without those straps showing through the top.

I always felt that Maxima was too young for the first dress, but again, from the time I first saw it I really liked the second dress.
