I love the first dress. It is so majestic. And the shoes are really perfect.

I've read that this Edelstein gown was Diana's favorite of all her gowns. It's beautiful and she knew how to wear it.:flowers:

I love her shoes with the bow,and the dress is lovely too. Thanks dear gfg02.In the last picture in black, she is so elegant:flowers:

First time I'm seeing this photo. Wow, wonder what earrings she is wearing here. I don't have any record of these earrings at all.
These earrings were worn quite frequently during a short period of time in the late 1980s.
In yellow 'gold' with a rock crystal center in the bottom pendant, they are certainly costume jewelry.
Here's a clearer view - same dress, same earrings, but during the tour of Germany in 1987:

Thanks for the info, Boris. Will have to add this on my Diana's Jewels site when I have some free time.

Can someone please help me? I put 2 request on the wrong thread that were delated with out any one pm-ing to tell me why. Which I thought was required by the moderators. And then was the critizied on he public forum for asking the question on a the wrong forum. But I would like to know if someone could photoshop a picture of Princess Diana wearing the dress on the Diana Evening Ware thread, number #437. I don't know how to do this. It is a dress she was never photographed wearing. But I think she would have been beautiful in this very feminine dress, and would love an idea of what she might have looked like. Thanks in advance, if the question is not deletd again.:bang::whistling:

Sky-Blue Satin Gown - Japan 1986

Hello,

Does anyone have pictures of the sky-blue satin gown Princess Diana wore in Japan in 1986?

It had long-sleeves that were big and puffy (mutton-style) at the top by her shoulders. It was floor length with a full skirt that had front pleats.

I have a few pictures of it already, I'm trying to get more in hopes to have a seamstress make me a replica of it.

Thank you!

It is the first one; thank you very much!

Do you have any more pictures of it? Cinderella is a great comparison!

I tried having a seamstress make a replica of it a few years ago but she wouldn't do it in the end because I didn't give her enough pictures of it. I am hoping this time around I will have enough pictures (and I'm working with a new seamstress).

Thanks again!

gfg02, thank you so much for the pictures! Keep 'em coming if you find any more!

(The six you've posted so far are better than the two I have; much bigger and better resolution!)

I'm sorry but I don't have other photos:sad:.

gfg02, no worries, the ones you've sent should be enough! The one from the back of the gown where Princess Diana is kneeling is especially helpful since every other picture is from the front. (It shows the back of the gown closed with matching satin buttons rather than a zipper.)

monic, thanks for chiming-in! I agree the gown is beautiful, I love the big and puffy sleeves and the sky-blue satin fabric/color. It is my favorite of all-time of Princess Diana's. My runner-up is the black and white satin gown Princess Diana wore in 1986 on her trip to Saudi Arabia, the one with the big striped bow on her left hip.

I've never seen those pictures before. I thought that this was when King Juan Carlos and his wife visited England on a state visit. You learn something new everyday! Thanks you.

gfg02, thanks for the link!

Do you have any clear/clean pictures of Princess Diana's black and white satin gown (with a striped bow on her left hip) that she wore on her trip to Saudi Arabia in 1986? I think I am going to ask my seamstress to make me a replica of that one as well, but so far the only pictures I can find all have watermarks on them from various publishers and media outlets.
