It's always good to remember that most of these photos were taken in the 80s- Diana's style changed considerably in the late 90s and became much more sleek, streamlined and chic. I shudder at some of my own fashion choices during this decade!

Default Diana's Best Do

Which of Diana's hairstyles over the years are your favourites

My favourite style was when she grew it in 1984

Second favourite when she had it cut really short in 1990

I loved it when she first cut in 1990, before she went to the curly style. Then the style she wore in 1997. The simpler styles, I thought, suited her better.

I agree I like the 1996-97 hairstyles best simple but classic and sophisticated.

Yes, she looks great there too. Ok, I guess I really can't choose just one favorite style! The 1992-93 curly, high look was my least favorite for sure.

Sirhon, that's very interesting. Why do you think that was? Maybe her personal tiring of being showy or maybe her status?

Her status didn't really change after the divorce except she lost her HRH but the Princess was attending less formal engagements and therefore it really wasn't necessary for her to wear hats.
