I am not attacking anyone so please don't take my response the wrong way!!!!!!

IMO, Meghan does not owe anybody anything in regards to how she choses to wear her hair. Her hair has been straight for almost her entire adult life and it seems that it will stay that way! It is entirely up to Meghan how she wishes to wear her own hair. Just because she is now a public figure does not give anyone the right to dictate what she should or should not to do with her own hair.

And to be clear, I'm not suggesting she should change her hairstyle to please anyone.

I love Meghan and believe she will do very well as a member of the BRF. I don't mind the messy bun at all.

However, just as a few years ago I didn't like the way Kate flicked her hair out of the way on engagements, I find myself looking at the loose long strands hanging over Meghan's face that she often tucks behind her ears when she is speaking to people, and wishing that the strands were pinned back. I guess I do find it distracting. I'm sure she'll get sick of constantly doing that herself and stop in the future, though.

I'm a colour person so I do hope Meghan finds a way of incorporating some Jewel colours into her wardrobe as Spring and Summer approach. I've enjoyed seeing something different with her though. I think it's refreshing.

Kind of a silly article but I agree Meghan should wear some colour and ditch the jeans. William Hanson is a snob.

A little trivia, he attended Clifton College, the same school as Michael Middleton.

I don't understand the jeans issue? The younger generation have all worn jeans. The older generation don't really do it because they follow the older style of dressing, but it's more of a personal thing now than you have to type of thing.

And is that a picture of William Hanson? If so, yea, he shouldn't be dishing out fashion advice.

The jeans don't bother me at an appropriate type of event. I am hoping she will wear more color as she settles in.

I've notice she usually wears more color in dresses rather than separate pieces. It'll be interesting once the weather gets warmer. I do feel like she takes practicality into consideration a lot more, which I can appreciate being a chicken about the cold myself (I live in my boots in the winter, and I do not give a fig).

We here can agree/disagree about style etc. but IMO Meghan has dressed appropriately at each event we’ve seen.

Those pants barely qualify as jeans. It's not like she's wearing acid-wash blue jeans.

She's been appropriate for every event she's done...I don't expect her to ever not be.

I still remember Fashion Maven's shock at it being skinny jeans at first.

I was shocked that it was skinny jeans as well only because Meghan’s legs are the skinniest I’ve ever seen.

She has a wide waist and then skinny legs. Flares are a much better choice for trousers.

Her legs looks just fine in skinny jeans. Skinny jeans are intended for people with unfairly skinny legs. I always think I look odd in skinny jeans, and my legs aren't THAT thick. It basically allows her to do well in any pants.

I wouldn't say Meghan's waist are wide. It's actually quite small if you look at the photos from yesterday. However, she does have a rather short waist and more curves in the bottom area (I feel a little weird talking about this in relation to a soon to be member of the royal family). She's got rather long legs for her height.

I’ve seen plenty of women in skinny jeans. Meghan’s legs especially from the knee down look like broom handles.

Short torso or wide waist, skinny jeans don’t look good on her imo.

I have regularly coloured my hair for many years and it is still in good shape. Meghan likes her hair straight and knows how to keep it looking good.
I'm not sure whether you're referencing my post. Please know that just because I've mentioned a few times about Meghan as a youngster always wanting to have straight hair does not mean I think she needs to wear her hair natural. I do know that I stopped perming my hair at some point due to the damage it can inflict. There are other ways these days rather than chemical perms to straighten hair in any case. But the blowouts as well require protecting the hair with healing balms and moisturizers. Meghan I'm sure knows all she needs to know and then some about how to protect and care for her gorgeous hair. And also, I am not in any way attempting to tell her how she needs to wear it. I'm simply making observations, and sharing my thoughts along with articles I've seen with quotes by Meghan. Even Chelsea Clinton never wears her hair naturally curly and in its naturally red state anymore. Chelsea straightens and colors her hair. A lot of people do and its not a big deal.

Long thick curly hair is more difficult to manage than keeping hair straight. Although using straightening methods does require a lot of attention in order to maintain healthy hair and scalp. None of this is news or surprising.

In the Style Code video posted several posts ago, Meghan speaks directly about how she takes care of her hair and the damage caused by blow-dryers, flat irons, etc., when she was filming Suits and the producer wanted all the female actors to wear their hair down. That was a directive. Meghan wore a ponytail once and an updo for the wedding scene and that was it. I had to laugh though when Meghan said the producer/director felt that men love women to wear their hair down. A comment on our patriarchal culture.

I've seen plenty of women who are straight-waisted wearing skinny jeans. Not sure what the problem is, unless one simply objects to skinny jeans, period.

''Fiancée Meghan'' style really isn’t working for me. I can’t wait to see what she wears for Trooping and Ascot in June. Both formal daytime events with the Queen present and with hats. And, hopefully, she won’t wear black for that. I think this will be our first indication of ‘’Duchess Meghan’’ style.

I think William Hanson's comments were quite picky. Just because HM wears bright colours doesn't mean that Meghan should have to, we all have our own taste in fashion. Meghan looked nice today and I didn't have a problem with her outfit, even the jeans since she compromised with a smart coat. As long as they are worn with a smarter top or jacket, I don't have a problem with royals wearing jeans at official events. Jeans are comfy and easy to move around in, as well as practical in cold weather, so I can understand why Meghan would have wanted to wear them.
