These are photos I've never seen, that's a dress from a fairly tale! Thanks for these picts gfg02!! :flowers:

Thanks for posting these pictures. You know, I have always wondered what the back of this gown looks like. The right side is definitely black, including the sleeves. But is the back of the gown also black or is it all white? Has anyone ever seen a photo of the back? I'm really curious how the Emanuels did the back.

Best, ayvee

These are two more photos of the white black gown:

They are holding hands. This is such a beautiful gown, I loved it and it was a shame it wasn't worn again, I'll bet Diana could have had it altered post pregnancy. The "Granny's Chips" necklace was perfect for this gown.

Diana did wear that deep red gown again. Here's the link to the video which shows it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWrFlWJl4FI

The dress is seen starting at about 0:56.

The event was a dinner on board a ship, the evening of the same day that Diana rode up in the crane (wearing the gray coatdress) seen in the same video. And she wasn't pregnant then -- it was November 1982, after William's birth

je recherche des videos et des photos de la premiere photos ci dessus

Thank you, I have never seen this appearance in any books or magazines, but I do stand corrected.:flowers:

I do hope to get more feedback from other members regarding my site. I've been thinking about having a site that shows in chronological order what Diana wore during the day and evening, but alas, it's so hard because a lot of the pictures in my library of Diana books never put dates. This thread is definitely the best one out there.

What a lovely idea for a site! I would definitely love to have a site like that around! I think you should go ahead and do it. You might not be able to specifically nail it down to exact dates, but you probably do it by year--and just rearrange the pictures in chronological order as you get more information on the exact dates.

I've been doing that on DVDs on my computer. I first started with her evening gowns with the dates and a description of the garment. Then I got really brave and started doing it by year. Starting with her birth to 1980 then 1981, 1982 etc. I have lots of blanks because I live in the US in a very small town and we didn't get a lot of newspapers with pictures but I tried to get every picture I could out of tabloids, etc. I tell you it becomes addicting and I am retired so I have a little more time to do it. Unfortunately I don't have access to a lot of the different photograph sites because they won't let you copy but thank God for The Royal Forums.

Diana knew herself well and so had great flair with all her evening wear... her charisma was evident in these fabulous gowns.

Thanks DianadeBraga and Monic for the photos. Diana wore this dress designed by Victor Edelstein in travel to Australia in 1983, Barry Manilow Concert festival (oct/1983) and Italy in 1985.

Love it! They sure knew how to cut up a rug in the day!! And that green gown, one of my favorites. :w00t::w00t:

Thank you Monic, This is one of my favorite dresses. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of the engagement in Portsmouth on November 10, 1982 but I found another video on ITN source. I hope you enjoy it.
MARY ROSE:DI & CHARLES:
It's definitely a rare video and I enjoyed it fully although Di appears for a short time. The dress is undoubtedly a marvel and it would be nice to have it in the wardrobe!
Thank you gfg02:flowers:

Other of my favorite dress, the "pale blue-grey chiffon dress". This was designed by Catherine Walker.

I:heartflower:that dress! Oh how I miss her smile!

It's gorgeous. Funny, I don't remember this one at all, and I usually remember all of them. :w00t::w00t::bee:

This is one of my favorite dresses too. I remember seeing a once in a newspaper dress to the Duchess of Kent. The only difference is that the duchess has sleeves.

The DOK was famous for copying the POW's clothes. Diana hated this .I like the dress on the POW better.
The dress reminds me of something you would see at the Oscars, yet Diana gives it a touch of majesty .
