If you go stylishly casual that's the way to do it.

review of Frederik's varied fashion this week.
Nature day- nice outfit for a day outdoors
http://content.invisioncic.com/r3885...93409edbd4.png
with just a dash of color to complete the outfit
http://content.invisioncic.com/r3885...a888335c54.png

Maritime conference, nice tie
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EDns9CCXsAEDB36.jpg
Now a maritime conference reception calls for his navy uniform, and he did not disappoint
http://content.invisioncic.com/r3885...56971a0349.png

but the highlight of the week came today for Denmark's flag day
Full dress navy uniform (nothing better)

now...lest I be accuse of being bias
Haakon heading the scuba dive for plastic waste

(he left his ugly brown shoes at home so he gets a win from me)

Daniel on Tuesday

way too formal for an outdoor exercise event

yesterday... he is trying to hide his tie but we all know its blue

Perfect, Polyesco.

Frederik is so lucky. His arms has got just the right length to reach his pockets...

I have to admit that I prefer the full dress navy uniform to the gala uniform. It is undeniable the best looking uniform of the three branches.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EDtqwMYXkAElzsb.jpg

Now for Haakon. He dived for plastic garbage I think - and he found it. And put it on his feet.
https://www.kongehuset.no/aim/kongeh...fbf392e34d.jpg
Seemingly together with a discarded pair of jeans someone left on the rocks nearby.
No, no no!

And Daniel.
Here we have a school-example of a Swede out of his depth.
- Dress casually?!? I'm a Swede, I don't know how to dress casually!
But we must give Daniel credit, he tried his best.
https://scontent-ort2-2.cdninstagram...ninstagram.com
You can tell how he first put on his pants. Light pants, a Swede will only wear during the months of June, July and August.
And in order to look sporty and casual he put on these huge grey barges on his feet.
Then he looked in the mirror and started to shake nervously!
But putting on a shirt, a tie and a double-breasted suit he calmed down enough to be able to attend this event.

Now this is more like it! Daniel doing casual:

Really fit, healthy and happy and it even looks like he went easy on the Brylcreem hair oil.

Indeed!

An astonishing transformation! He looks naturally casual. Effortlessly casual in fact. And behold: New, clean shoes!
That is not a sight we are treated to every day on these pages.
But when it comes to shoes, Daniel always deliver!

I wonder... Can we be sure this is the real, genuine, Daniel?

When was the last time anyone saw a commercial for Brylcreem hair oil?

About thirty years ago. Maybe Daniel bought up the last supplies and they have now run out? I think he looks much nicer without his hair severely slicked back and also wearing some casual clothing has done great things for his image.

https://3.t.cdn.belga.be/belgaimage:...a94&m=pgaencpb
another nice tie today

for a private dinner with the Danish crown prince couple, Daniel took quick note and lost the tie

the sleeves look a tad big but nicely done.

Day 2 of Sweden's visit to Denmark

Frederik starts the day in a lively colored tie, Daniel in his usual blue tie
https://scontent.faep9-2.fna.fbcdn.n...15&oe=5DFB405C
https://images.scribblelive.com/2019...642534c47f.jpg

later in the day Frederik changed ties to a nice copper one (who says ladies can only do wardrobe changes)
https://2.t.cdn.belga.be/belgaimage:...a94&m=iedjiiek
Daniel, you guessed it, still in his blue tie

who would have guessed that Daniel would still be in the same blue tie
Lovely coat on Frederik
poor Daniel did not look too happy to be caught in the rain without a coat

I do like the pattern of Frederik's tie. It is quite conservative. Some men do not like bold patterns.

Day 3 of the Swedish visit to Denmark
and Daniel was unable to find a non-blue tie
http://kongehuset.dk/sites/default/f...?itok=DVZtgNOw

in contrast to Frederik who had a very nice tie for the morning event
https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/09...8801289387.jpg
and was able to change for his afternoon event. Love the checkered tie
https://scontent-lax3-2.xx.fbcdn.net...3e&oe=5DF22D5A

Daniel ..well...still in his blue ties
https://beta.tt.se/media/image/sdltd...arkPreview.jpg

both very elegant, but I do hope Frederik gifted Daniel some ties...maybe in red
