:previous: He sure does!

I hardly know where to begin!
The vest in reminiscent of an affluent peasant anno 1725.
The ruffled shirt is something a nobleman would wear anno 1700 something.
The walking stick is a walking-stick light that was a inseparable part of a gentleman's attire, - replacing a rapier, which I suspect he would prefer to carry, if he could get away with it.

The scarve thing, or whatever it is, draped over his shoulder is something not described in any text about male European attire for at least the past 800 years.

I really don't know if he deserves a  or a :argh:

Indeed an appropriately casual look for the occasion. We can of course discuss whether the composition was okay.

However Frederik gets a  from me.
When wearing a shirt under your slip-over, the lapels are supposed to be outside the slip-over, not more or less accidentally crammed into the slip-over.
It's the details that creates the finishing touch, and it's the details that ruins it. - This ruined it.

:previous: Are they goloshes? :ermm:

For me personally Frederik looks perfect, would not change a thing about his clothes or him.......he is sexy without trying .........?

I do like the way Frederik wears his clothes, most of the time. He has a certain flair, inherited from his father, no doubt. He's not afraid to try something different.

Now, how does a gentleman dress on a warm, almost summerly spring-day?

Behold Joachim: https://scontent.flis5-1.fna.fbcdn....=fe550bf8dfc2891fdcceb4fd48c7b6cb&oe=5B9BE90A

It is, as you all know, a well established fact that Joachim is a perfect gentleman. And here he has opted for the semi-formal, yet summerly look.

A white, warm-weather shirt.
Broken by a daring, almost flashy, light-rose tie with dots.
Notice his matching handkerchief, that is folded in a neat way, not just flipped and thrust down the pocket.
His contrasting dark jacket.
Black shoes and black belt that matches the jacket and creates and additional contrast.
Shirtsleeves are showing in the correct length.
Light summerly pants. Loose-fitting and breathable.

Now, this is an event involving engineering. Cars, engineering, trains, planes, rockets and tanks are things where men by our DNA composition are compelled to put our hands in our pockets and kick something. We can't help it. Yet, Joachim has here opted for the half-intellectual stance and taken hold of the lower lapel of his jacket. That's the way to do it!

What else can be said? This is an example to marvel at, admire and emulate.

He gets :cool::cool: from me. And an :notworthy:

I like the fact that Prince Joachim wore a dark jacket. I have been told that a man should at least have a navy jacket for an occasion. Prince Joachim definitely makes the occasion!

And enjoy how he exhibits them, by wearing trouser legs at least 10 cm too short. ?

It's not only women who should be aware of showing too much - albeit in a different way...

Of-course, if I wanted to show off a snazzy pair of socks, I would so the same, but Haakon's socks are rather normal.

I will compliment him on his tie, which lifts a blue suit very nicely.

I'm often in calf length trousers myself but unlike Haakon I have some fabulous socks to show off. Today pink ones with camels on them.

Frederik continuing on his birthday week with a very nice suit (and his million dollar smile ;))

And for those interested, his running shorts for the Royal Run were from the Danish brand saysky

Yes, Frederik nailed the casual look. ?
But I will never learn to love white-soled shoes. - I know, it's fashion and I have a pair myself, someone gave me. For the dog to chew on...

I like Edward's ties. Weddings are the times, when he can let his inner hippie loose. :D

Frederik looks terrific, it's almost like the older he gets, the more comfortable in his own skin he is and it shows in the way he dresses.

I agree. There are few Royal men with a real sense of style and Frederik is one of them. Of course he makes mistakes occasionally, don't we all, but most of the time his fashion choices are on point.

Does Crown Prince Frederik have a valet who would personally select the clothes the Crown Prince would wear on various occasions?
