I do not like very much the suit of Frederik but nice scarf! But Haakon is wow. Combine and the tie with the skirt of Mette Marit!!

Is it just me or does Fred's suit look like it shrunk in the dryer :lol: but I do love his scarf:flowers:

Haakon looks fab, very good looking. Love the scarf, ends and all

For a moment I thought Haakon had been replaced by an impersonator. But then I saw his shoes and could breathe a sigh of relief. - It is Haakon. - The real one. :p

Haakona shoes are always like that. I have seen worse ones on him. Don't understand why. Maybe too hot guys become overconfident and neglect some things

You're right, he is, very much so. But oh how those sneaky giggles that turn to full out howls of laughter are appreciated.

Muhler, you have one if the most finely honed sense of the ridiculous that I have encountered. Keep it coming . . . it's good for the endorphins and prevents ageing. (I just added the ageing bit for fun, but who knows?).

Is there somewhere where we can form a petition that the next time Prince Edward visit Prince Frederick and Haakon, one of them take him shopping? I am so desperate in this that I am even willing to pay. Most of his clothes appear to be 15 year old.

Prince Charles has his suits and coats made by the Savile Row tailor Anderson & Sheppard. Does not Charles' brother Prince Edward have any suits and coats made by Anderson & Sheppard?

Prince Charles makes his suits last a very long time, and perhaps Edward does too. Actually there was criticism the other day that, though Charles always looks immaculate, the style of his suits is actually starting to look somewhat out of date by fifteen/twenty years or so. I'm certainly no expert on men's tailoring but perhaps that is so. He might be one of those men who pick a style and stick to it for good!

:previous: Indeed he is. One year when told he was on the best-dressed list he laughed and said that happened every fifteen to twenty years as the wheels of fashion turned and his style came back into fashion again.

However, that does not mean he is without style as he regularly appears in the upper top half of Esquire's Best Dressed list, easily beating both his sons who have yet to find their groove. I mean, let's face it, it's hard to compete with a man that has perfected the pocket handkerchief and wears a Boutonniere more often than not. Now that's style, not fashion.

His sons, in contrast, look both boring and underdressed and William's suit is, how shall we say, very ill fitted, perhaps uncomfortably so.

Hmmmm.
Here I was thinking that the reason why 'we' think W&H less well dressed that their father, is because Prince C wears double-brested suits, and they do not.
And then handsome Haakon passes by in a double-brested suit and I think "Neh."

I need Muhler to tell me what I think about double breasted suits. And why. :ROFLMAO:

Very simple.

Double-breasted suits is always the better choice for mature gentlemen. Especially if the said gentleman happens to be... well-rounded or well-build if you will...
Because with single-breasted suits the belly tends to be "dripping" beneath the button.

But Haakon... :ermm:
Okay, he's Norwegian and that explains a lot.

I have from "sources" that Haakon finally realized: "I need a suit, so I can look good abroad. - But wait, I do have a suit somewhere". After two hours of looking in the attic an over-delighted Haakon located the suit, and it's good as new, because he hasn't worn it since he was fifteen.
And since Haakon, like all Norwegians, is in a perpetual state of bliss, he was unable to see, when looking in the mirror, that it might be a bit tight here and there...
It would be an act of cruelty to point out to Haakon the various flaws. On the contrary along with his trusted brown shoes we can expect to see the suit many times from now on - until it eventually burst in the seems.

:flowers: The blue color make him more handsome ;) the brown shoes don't much very but whatever...

Lol Muhler!!
I like the blue suit, even the tie. They match with MM's dress.
Dark blue or black shoes would have been better.

William and Harry have been known to frequently sport double-breasted waistcoats, suits, dinner jackets, sports jackets and coats. To be honest, I think they suit them very well and, having googled both in suits, I have to admit I was stunned at the sheer number of different ones they have.

As for William's much vaunted new look, I personally believe that anything that reveals whether a gentleman dresses to the 'right' or 'left' is best left to the imagination by virtue of superior tailoring!

Ah, that's more like it!:cool::cool:

Apart from the bowlers which, although an amusing tradition, look better on middle-aged bankers, W&H dress good, very good on these occasions.
Remarkably Kate looks almost bland between the two of them.

Yes, deffinetly double-brested suits for them forever!
*insert any admiring word you can think of*

Harry was really good today ;) (I want to write something else but...anyway) :p
And Laurent is just Laurent :)

Harry seems to like this style of shirt for his casual wear. I agree he looks good. Shades of blue seem to suit him.

I've been off checks for a couple of years but this particular shirt Harry is wearing is actually really nice in those colours. Nice deep bold colours works well in a check.

:previous:
Indeed.

And see, a handkerchief in his pocket.
And four buttons on the sleeves of his suit.
It's all in the details...

Compare that to the bland looking man standing next to Joachim. :ermm: And he even has his suit unbuttoned. It's barbarism!
