It's okay...not a huge fan of it. I think it's too much..maybe if the top were plain ...I like the skirt part better than the top.

Oh wow, a beaming birthday girl!

Its a bit fussy looking but I guess it is her 40th birthday, nice bright colours too.

The dress is a bit fussy and twee for my tastes, but it looks pretty on her, and is fitting for such a special occasion. A looser, softer hairstyle would fit better with the romantic look of the dress.

Love Oscar's facial expressions. He looks so much like Estelle did at his age.

Happy Birthday Victoria!!! :swedenflag:

I think Victoria has a great sense of style in general. This dress seems a little frou frou for someone whose style in general is very streamlined and elegant but I think she pulls it off. It is her birthday after all, so she might as well wear a proper birthday dress!
All of the children are adorable!

What a beautiful birthday girl! Her best accessories, her family. Love those cute kids (and Daniel)! Anyway, great dress for her day.

Absolutely beautiful birthday girl :flowers:

I find it unique and beautiful. I would prefer the top plain or at least just pattern, the 3D butterflies just on the skirt. But stunning the same.

Princess Victoria looks absolutely gorgeous, that is such a beautiful dress on her. That smile on her says it all, she is just a beautiful person inside and out. Her love for her husband shines in everything she does and those children are some of the happiest little royal babies out there. Wishing her tons of love and joy on this day and everyday.:flowers:

Victorias dress was disappointing, it would've been the prefect dress of her daughter. The butterflies were a bit too much for my taste. The colors of the dress and the style was flattering.

It is just the right dress for a warm summer day and at this event. According to Expressen swedish fashion designer Camilla Thulin has designed this dress especially for Victoria. Victoria looks great in it, and it is also very practical, when dealing with the children and there are cameras everywhere, both on the adults and on children.

Victoria's hair looks lovely, as always.

if this was custom made for her the designer must seriously hate her! this looks like something my granny used to wear scrub the floors and plant flowers

I like both dresses. Even the butterfly dress. It looks perfect on her.

The butterfly dress is one of the most beautiful she has ever worn, and her radiant smile perfects the look. I don't like the blue one at all, she looks like a 50's housewife in it. Hard to believe it's specifically designed for her.

I'm used to her hairstyle, but I think it ages her a bit. A little bit shorter hair and a softer style would suit her better, but if she feels comfortable this way (as it seems) then she should stick to it. She certainly looks very, very happy!

Another house dress like the one in Italy. She can't pull off this look

I must be one of the few here for I like this blue dress, the color sure is perfect on her and why need another fancy dress for today. This is simple and clean looking, pretty and nice with a feeling of being very comfortable to wear. I don't expect her to dress to the nines all the time, sometimes for me, simple is best and that is what this dress says, comfortable and simple to wear.

Classic simple shirtwaist dress, airy and summery. Delightful.

When I first sew pictures from the second day event, I thought it was a throwback picture of Queen Silvia.

I dont care for the dress, it looks like something she pulled out from the attic. Nice hair style!

I liked both ensembles for totally different reasons. The rose coloured butterfly dress was truly amazing and I think she and Estelle had a lot of fun with it. While I love hats I have to admit I loved her hairstyle with its matching decoration as well.

The blue looked wonderful and it's almost like the pink day was for the girls and the blue for the boys. Really sweet. I loved the classic 1950's vibe and her hair and earrings were divine.

Victoria's birthday is one of those few occasions that everyone dresses up for but it's not an engagement. We see the CP Family up close and personal and it's one of the few occasions that she has her hair professionally done to match her birthday dresses. As we can see, there is the extra volume in the added height rather than severely pulled back bun.

It's great that Victoria recycled these beautiful Jennifer Blom blouse and skirt at the lunch the royal family hosted for the Presidential couple of Finland. And as whooper swan is Finland's national bird, we Finns can see it as a tribute to us and the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence. Beautiful hairdo, as always. And Kreuger Jewellery's Summer Feather earrings are a good match with the outfit.

I remember she wore that dress a few months ago, to mixed reviews in this forum. I am still not crazy about the print (love the style), but knowing now (thanks LadyFinn) that the swan is Finland's national bird, it is a lovely touch to wear it to host their presidential couple. And the earrings are prefect. Love her hair.

Happy 100th Finland! :finlandflag:
