She surely stands out in the crowd and it's great seeing her in such a string color after seeing her for a while in grey, beige and black.

Agree; a wonderful colour to announce she's back However, reading the decidedly disapproving stares behind her(although perhaps I am wrong, not understanding Japanese culture or body language) I can only admire the crown princess' courage in making such a statement in what must be one of the world's least feminist-friendly societies

Yes, very elegant. I recently found it and the striped dress CP Masako wore leaving Matsumoto are repeats.

Another is the grey court dress CP Masako wore at Nara. While I knew it was repeated, I didn't realize it was from her earliest days as princess.

Yes, she does! Thank you for mentioning that, Al_bina, as I normally don't notice jewelry as much as I notice clothes.

I would be nice to see her in brighter colours more often as they look so wonderful on CP Masako, but I understand that the Japanese have traditions of what shades are worn in different seasons.

I think all Imperial ladies do. The clothes appear to be well made and resilient; some designs may be dated but many are still wearable today. There are photos of Princesses Kiko and Takamado wearing clothes from 10+ years ago.

How very lovely Princess Masako looks in the white and navy outfit. And her pearls are so pretty, being a lover of pearls they would look nice in my jewel box. It is just great to see her out with her husband and I hope she is really turning her issues of illness around and we will see more of her. I have always admired this young lady very much.
