Thank you for the information about the hats, Alex001! I've always liked that beige hat with the black trim and black flowers. Some of her hats were a bit old-fashioned for my taste, but the beige and black hat was always my favorite.

This one is my favorite:

I also like the one-shouldered dress that is Alex001's favorite. She looked fantastic in the white jeans and white top combo, too.

A silver dress by Charlotte Sparre, about the only thing I actually like of hers that Alexandra's worn.

A striped dress by HKer Olivia Davies, the owner of 'Peggy Boyd' in Hong Kong.

Aug 11, 2009 - Alexandra atending Madonnas concert
Picture
Aug 12, Dropping sons at school. I quite like the top and cardigan but the pants, to me they look like they can be worn on the beach.

I'm not crazy about her new haircut. IMO, it ages her. The top that she wore to the Madonna concert was okay, but it was a bit too low-cut for my taste. She looks very good in black, though. I agree with Dazzling about the outfit for the first day of school. I like the blouse, but I don't care for the way she has buttoned the cardi over the blouse. It looks like it is pulling the buttons too much. The color of the cardigan is very pretty, though.

If you look at some of these photos of Alexandra's outfit at the Madonna concert, it appears to be see-through :
Billed-Bladet - Alexandra og Martin til Madonna-koncert
I'm not sure if this is due to the thin fabric, or the light cast on her from the camera-flashes. Black is great, but this outfit is most unflattering, IMO. I do like the shade of the wrap and her shoes, though.

Her new cut isn't all that bad; in fact, she looks amazing for a woman in her mid-forties. Alexandra has the face that can pull off a short hairdo... not many women can.
As for her ensemble, again, I've seen worse on other royals as well as nobles.

I'm not too crazy about her new hairstyle but maybe she thought she needed something new. I have done that before myself

I like her black slacks, as for her hair style, it's nice.

August 15, 2009 - Countess Alexandra atending a christening in Copenhagen. This is such a casual outfit, IMO it doesnt suit the event.

Each piece is nice, especially the skirt.Too casual for an upper-class christening indeed! That cardigan and bag are way too casual, maybe for a morning out for shopping or something, not for an event like this.

To me, its seems that she dropped the kids off and decided to turn up to this event. As you said each piece is lovely even together but for a private outing or visit.
