Yay for new dresses! Maybe a new tiara she can borrow? (Or did you mean earrings/necklace/brooch when you said Jewels?)
I was thinking more of the latter.

But who knows, she may be lent another tiara. However, I'm nota big fan of the Danish collection and, IMO, she already has one of the better pieces. Besides, there isn't much to go around. I don't see QM lending out the Nassau tiara (she'll probably wear that herself), and the emerald tiara belongs to the crown jewels. Nor do I see her lending out the floral tiara.
The other ones are not as nice as the one Anastasia Mihailovna's diamond drop tiara (the one Alexandra now wears).

true, but that shouldn't mean that she should never get any new things.

Was the purple dress she wore in her offical pictures at the Royal House website a dress she's worn to any galas? Or is it considered a "new" dress?
If we're thinking of the same dress, yes, she did wear it in the past. She wore it during the jubilee celebrations in 1997 (to the opera), and to the state dinner in honour of King Hussein and Queen Noor in 1998.

It does not matter if she put on an old gown as long as it is not dark or black color dress she wore since Mary getting into the royal scene. She is petite, and bright color gown suits her. I would think the yellow one in the official portrait is quite grandiore, and I have not seen her recycle that one yet.

She is beautiful and she wears bright colors wonderfully.

I hope she is in something new and bright. It will be interesting to see if a rivalry gets underway between them.

I hope she'll wear a new dress, maybe she'll wear the new ball dress the Alexandra School made for her. She went there on April 28th.
The Alexandra School has made many of Alexandra's day clothes to waer on engagments. http://www.princessalexandradk.com/alexand...%201.jpg_p1.jpg look at the clothes behind her.

Alexandra and Joachim are more than comfortable financially. Joachim receives 2 million Kroner per annum. Plus they have a profitable working farm/estate and hotel, from which they derive the bulk of their income. A few years ago (5?) their personal worth was estimated at about $12 million (not kroner).
That's one reason I think why Prince Joachim's money wasn't tripled unlike CP Frederik because they have other source of their income.

Prncess Alexandra is indeed an example to all people around the world. Notice how she and Prince Joachim spends their money wisely.Unlike other royals who are just always buying and wearing outfits without recycling them, it's different with the princess because she reuses her gowns and dresses which still looks nice and would still fit her.

It doesn't mean that because you are a royal and you are given by the government a certain amount of money annually, you would just wear designer outfits or any kind of outfit and then would not reuse it. It's just a waste of the money given to you. And besides, one does not need to wear new outfits every now and then just to look beautiful and fashionable. One can be more creative and stylish by adding diffrerent acsessories. And it's true to Princess Alexandra.

I agree with you Paulette, HRH Princess Alexandra always looks beautiful and it doesn't matter if she has used the outfit before, she is just so elegant.

I like most of her shoes, but the nylons kind of annoys me someties, because she'll wear nylons that are too white for her complexion. So it looks wierd. But she does have beautiful legs.

I love Pss. Alexandra but her most of her shoes remind me of the 1980s and not in a good way.

i love her pointy strappy black shoes. those nice pointy shoes rock.

i must say, i'm absolutely not a royal watcher but man does she dress beautifully. she makes wearing jeans look glamourous.

the only thing that saddens me is a smart chick like her has to do boring **** like sit there and listen to boring speeches and basically be a brood mare for heirs but not have a chance to do what she's capable of (ie her keen business sense has had to fall by the wayside to do ribbon cuttings, etc.)

With all due respect, she knew what she was getting into when marrying Prince Joachim. She knew that she would have to give up her career and certain freedoms. She made the choice and is dealing with the decision quite well. :P
