About which Royal Family can you read the most in the newspapers of your country?
In Germany it seems to me, that you can read the most about Crownprincess Mary (not so much about the rest of the Danish Royal Family) and about the Swedish Royal Family (because Queen Silvia is the surrogat-Queen of Germany). You can read a little bit less about Crownprincess Letizia, Crownprincess Mette-Marit and Crownprincess Maximá. Not so much (or just if there is a scandal...) about the Belgian Royal Family (for example). Sometimes it seems to me, that the Crownprincesses are not married to Crownprinces, because the newspapers just write about the females. And you can read always the same stories: Crownprincess Mary and fashion and spending too much money... Crownprincess Victoria and the question: "When will she marry Daniel?" Princess Madeleine, her beauty and how she became more serious... Crownprincess Letizia and her "problems" being a member of the Royal Family - "The sad Princess" Crownprincess Maximá - the funny, always laughing Princess Crownprincess Mette-Marit and her past... What do you think? About which Royal Family or member can you read the most in the newspapers of your country? Do they write about the members of a Royal Family only if there is something "negative" or are there "favourites" in the country? You can see a hitlist at Bunte. How often was a person (a Royal) named in the media? Take a look here: BUNTE STAR CONTROL: Home Of course are there ups and downs: When Crownprincess Letizia became Sofia she was more in the media than Crownprincess Mathilde (for example). |

In Belgium you can obviously read, see the most about the Belgium royal family and in particular about:
* The king and Queen (often) * Prince Philippe, princess Mathilde and kids (often, especcially Mathilde and Elisabeth) * Prince Laurent, princess Claire and the childern less (Laurent was big news this year whit his scandels about the marine and we see them on official events, visits) * Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz and the chidern (less, only with official visites and the childern on special occasions, pictures released and first day of school We have a special royalt programm on television "Royalty" ads there the most attention goes to the Belgian Royal family, there is always a little chapter about "foreign news" and also special ocassion abroad (important birthays, births, interviews,) Usually it goes about Euopean country's as Holland, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Monaco, Luxembourg and the UK, whe do not hear much about Greece, Bulgary of other countries. Sometimes there are special episodes about the fasion sense of the princesses Mathilde, Maxima, Mary, Leattita and Mette-Marit. It is true that we hear most about the wrown princesses and not about princes. And always the same stories: William and Kate: there relation, will they marry? When? Crownprincess Mary spending too much money on clothes, home assesoires and paying less attention on people Crownprincess Victoria and the question: "When will she marry Daniel?" Crownprincess Letizia and her "problems" being a member of the Royal Family, her weight Crownprincess Maximá (the crownprincess where we hear the most about of the foreign royals) about her parents, relation with princess Mathilde,... |

Unfortunately in the US we information mostly on the British and Monaco royal families. I'd like to see more coverage of the other royal houses.
