Vanity Fair article

Does any one have the Vanity Fair article where they had William on the cover and all these other royals were featured inside. I think the issue is september 2003. I was wondering if someone can post the pictures and the articles so I can see them. Thanks.

Which month in 2003 was the Young Royals issue of Vanity Fair from?

The Vanity Fair issue was from November.

Hey, on the Vanity Fair Issue of November 2003 was only Felipe from the SRF? or there was any picture of his sisters or cousins; and about Greece, were there pictures of Alexia, Phillipos and Theodora?; no pictures of Astrid, Amedeo or his siblings either?
thanks in advance:D :D :D

This is a terrific thread. Too bad I didn't notice this place before posting my own VF royal pics. Post #12 has a much better version of this one (a beautiful scanned picture of Mafalda von Hesse) but here is my cheesy phone version anyway. In case anyone wants a close up or smaller version. feel free to take it, no need to credit or ask me.

EmpressRouge posted a Vanity Fair of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. That is lovely, thanks. But I saw you couldn't scan the left page very well because of the position of him right in the crease. I took a picture of this page with my phone, thought it might be a welcome additition to the library archives. :) The source is Vanity Fair, of course.

She was. It was a long article about her in the 2003 issue that was devoted to the royals of the world, with Prince william on the cover. I'm sure someone here can scan it for you. the pics of rania in that issue are stunning.

does vanity fair publish article about the royals every year?

No.

The magazine publishes a list of young Hollywood every year; perhaps that is what you are thinking of.

:)

For the Vanity Fair "Young Royals" issue, how did the magazine manage to coordinate all these royals to do one magazine at the same time and take all these great photos? I liked the fact that they highlighted on many unknown royals (for Americans).

It was published somewhere that one of the editors of Vanity Fair was a personal friend of Princess Maxima (from the days she worked & lived in NYC) and that Maxima had to persuade the spanish and belgian royals, who were a bit reluctant to participate. I do not know if the story is true or not, but it was published when the magazine was released.
Of course in the end the heirs didn't have much of a choise as it would be strange if they were the odd one out (the only ones not participating).

There were several (4?) photographers involved, so I guess they could coordinate it rather well, and they took their time for it.

One of the photographers was Prince Philipp of Hesse. That would have made things easier, since he is related to a good number of the royals featured.

hi everyone! this is my very first post here, and hoping to meet some of you guys. ;p

they must have a HUGE and great team of editorial assistants, editors and coordinators to pull that off! i work for a magazine and i'm in charge of planning and coordinating the shoots and interviews, so i know at least a bit how hard it is to get the 'big' names. sometimes you won't even get past the secretaries.

and most probably they already have existing connections with these royals that's why they were able to get them featured in the issue.

Have you realized that most portraits of Frederik are made with mirrors in the room?

Does that have any meaning,or some subliminal message?;) :D

i notice that the other danish royals also have their pics taken in front of the mirror - remember the wedding festive pics of both couples: C.P frederik/mary n prince joachim/princess alexandra

i was cleaning my room last sunday and i stumbled through my copy of Vogue, March 2003 (with Julianne Moore on the cover) and realized that excerpts from Queen Noor's book Leap of Faith was published in it. two of the four pics about the article are taken from the book, the other two are studio shots.
here they are:

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f241/RhapsodyBrat/RoyalPeople/3e5ad255.jpg

the article was continued on pages 591-593, but i didn't scan those pages anymore since the article was just an excerpt from Queen Noor's book.

here are bigger versions of the pics:

In the December 2001 issue of British Vogue, there were some pics of Princess Anne from past Vogue photo shoots. There are also three different Vogue covers.
Here's a link to an old issue of British Vogue, featuring Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, back in 1973:

I wonder if there will be an update because so many of these royals have married and had children.?

Those are some of the best pictures of Anne, ever. Too bad we don't see them very often.

Princess Anne looks soo beautiful in these pictures:)

The Princes of Asturias (and the Spanish Royal Family, generally speaking) are not in the habit of participating in this kind of flashy photoshoots. The only time the princely couple posed for a publication was last October, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Prince of Asturias Awards. On the occasion, Prince Felipe wrote this editorial for the weekly magazine of El Pais and they posed for this couple of photos:
