The book was written by William Stadiem. It is 389 pages. I believe it is very accurate in describing the times and the problems King Farouk faced when he became king. One can almost feel sorry for him for a lot of reasons, ranging from the palace insiders' intrigue to the foreign interests that precipitated his fall.
While in exile it is almost a different story.
Besides this book and the "Last Pharaoh" there is another written by Adel Sabit " A King betrayed".
