Suggestions for newsletter topics?

I would love to see something about royal jewellery, it's history, who it belonged to etc.

Also I am interested in how all the royal families are related to each other - something on that would be fantastic.

Both BRILLIANT ideas, I must say. The jewels part, or course, but the relations between on the royal families would be a fascinating read. It coud even be in installments--like, the connections between Great Britain and Sweden--the connections between Sweden and Luxembourg--the connections between Spain and Greece or Spain and Denmark--etc.... the list could go on and on and on. I would love to see something like that as well!

To build on that terrific idea, I'd like to see perhaps a tracing of one piece of jewelry as it passed between families and the reasons that it did.

I remember reading a blog by a young man in San Francisco who was a descendent of the Prussian royal house. He referred to his mother lending some of her minor jewels to a young family friend for an event, then went on to say that "minor" jewels is not exactly the way to describe them. After he actually provided the detail on the pieces - a necklace and earrings - one could see his point.

I think a good idea for a newsletter would be how monarches relate to other countries under their rule. For example, Queen Elizabeth and the Commonwealth countries and Queen Margrethe and Greenland and the Faroe Islands

Has there been something constructed on the attempts of regicide, the act of regicide and the security threats posed at royalty, both passed and present, from within the fold and otherwise?

A kind of look into the security which has, and continues to surround this unique set, and perhaps the price some have payed for being born (or marrying) into a world of immense wealth and position. Furthermore, a look at the deaths of those who were trialed and condemned of treason, ie; Charles I, Mary Queen of Scots, Anne Boleyn, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette to name a few.

The recent attempts on the Dutch royal family, A plot in the 1950's to derail a train in Australia with both the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh as passangers, The trooping of the colour incident back in the 80's, The murder of the Nepalese royal family from within...

It may have already been done, but it's just a thought anyhow.
