They inhale their first breath to a resounding twenty-one gun salute. Within a few days, their tiny faces appear in every magazine and newspaper. Their christenings are grand occasions. Stamps, coins and postcards are issued to commemorate these events. Yet they sleep, unaware of the pomp and splendour of the occasion.
