Carl Philip is today in his own duchy Värmland, in Karlstad where he will later visit Rally Sweden. In the morning he made a company visit to Löfbergs head office. Löfbergs is a coffee roastery founded in 1906. Video of the arrival:

Why would Carl Philip have an aide-de-camp? He's not heir apparent, unless he becomes regent when Victoria ascends to the throne. Even if that were the case, Carl Philip would not have the regency long; it would go to Estelle when she becomes of age and has proper training.
 
Aid-de-campe serves as an assistant. Traditionally the male version of a lady in waiting. Victoria has chosen to use them instead of a lady in waiting like her mother and other royal women. CP doesn't need to be the crown prince to have an aide.

Carl Philip met today president Björn O. Nilsson and Maria Dollhopf from the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences. At the meeting they discussed about the company visits Carl Philip is going to make together with the Academy. Carl Philip will visit Swedish companies, with particular focus on the creative work.

Daniel has Prince Daniel's Fellowship and its entrepreneurial programme, Prince Daniel's Entrepreneurial Day and new plans on the way.

The visits include both large and small companies and during the 2016 are scheduled four missions - two in the spring and two in the autumn.
The purpose of the business program is to give Prince Carl Philip opportunity to deepen and develop his knowledge of the Swedish Industry and the Swedish companies, both in Sweden and abroad, with the focus on the creative industries.

Carl Philip delivered Prince Carl Philip Prize at the Sweden International Horse Show to Mathilda Bolin and Dilba.
In 1987 the Swedish royal family donated the Prince Carl Philip Prize to the Swedish Riding Pony Association, Stockholm district. When the Swedish Equestrian Federation was founded the prize was transferred to the County of Stockholm Equestrian Federation and it assumed responsibility for the prize. The final of the competition is held annually at the Sweden International Horse Show.

Carl Philip had today an audience with members of the Coast Artillery Reserve Officers' Association (KAROF), he got the KAROF Gold Medal of Honour.

Carl Philip seems to be more visible in recently, I am trying to figure out if he is doing more royal work, I checked the calendar thread and for 2016 he is fourth behind his parents and Daniel in terms of events listed - undoubtedly he is ahead of Victoria because she is on maternity leave.

I am still not sure if there's been a bump in his royal work, but even if there isn't, in addition to being a working royal, he also has his work with Bernadotte & Kylberg, racing, and on top of that he became a father this year.

It may be too early to declare success but he is definitely one to watch when it comes to handling being a high-ranking royal who is not the heir.

Victoria has more work events listed at the court calendar this year than Carl Philip (the swedish calendar it the one which is better updated). And the court calendar isn't a good place to find out how much the royals work, because for instance most part of Daniel's meetings with The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation's Initiative GEN-PEP aren't listed there. If one is really interested in how much the swedish royals work, one can follow the media and social media and get a lot more info about their work than what one gets only by looking at the court website. Even the court publishes sometimes photos of events at their social media, which aren't put to the calendar.

Yes, but Claude is including non work things like his car racing. It would be like including Daniel and Estelle at a hockey game as being counted as work. Yes, we see him a lot this year, but the amount of events he has done on behalf of the royals doesn't seem to have increased.
 
I really wish he would cut back on the amount of product he wears in his hair. At a certain point it stops looking like styling gel and just looks like he needs a good shampoo.
