On Wednesday, August 14, Prince Carl Philip inaugurated Stockholm's Sea Rescue Society's new station house at Hammarbyslussen on Södermalm. The day before the inauguration, Prince himself was given the opportunity to practice sea rescue together with representatives from SSRS.

Carl Philip delivered today the Scholarship awards from the Prince Bertil and Princess Lilian Sports Foundation. The foundation is to promote Swedish sport through scholarships to leaders and instructors for further education.
This year's recipients of the scholarships were received in Princess Sibylla's apartment at the Royal Palace.

On Wednesday, April 8, Prince Carl visited the Armed Forces headquarters to obtain information on the Armed Forces' work on the occasion of covid-19.
Prince Carl Philip was informed of how the Armed Forces is handling the requests for support to the community that come from other authorities through the covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, information was given about the consequences covid-19 may have on the Armed Forces' own operations and what measures are taken within the authority.
The prince also received information on the consequences and measures as a result of the Aurora 20 exercise planned to be carried out in May will be moved forward.

During this year's official ceremony to commemorate Veterans Day, the Prince, on behalf of the King, laid a wreath at the National Veterans Monument under the auspices of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the Minister for Defense.
On the spot for laying wreaths was also the Speaker of the Parliament and Sverker Göransson, chairman of the Swedish Veterans' Association.
This year's ceremony was conducted with a reduced program due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Ceremony at Livgardet
During the afternoon, the Prince continued celebrating the Veterans Day by visiting the Livgardet in Kungsängen.
On arrival, the Prince was welcomed by the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Micael Bydén before the Army's parade march was performed by the Royal Swedish Army Band. Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén and Prime Minister Stefan Löfven then gave speeches.
The ceremony concluded with a speech by the Supreme Commander and the national anthem.
