Prince Carl Philip is the monthly “design guest” during May at the Hallwyl Palace (museum) in Stockholm. During the 2005 Year of Design, the staff of the palace have decided to choose one known person (with an interest in design and craft) for each month of the year, whom in their turn will choose an object from the collections which will be featured in a special personal little side-exhibition with pictures and sound uptake from his/hers visit. Prince Carl Philip visited the palace on 22 September 2004, and was then given a special personal tour as he chose his object.

As “his” object, the Prince chose a teapot in silver. “The pot was simple but at the same time special due to its shape – round like a bun, bold but not too round. It was the shape that made me notice the pot”. The pot is made by Gustaf Möllebborg during the 1850-70’s and carries the arms of the von Hallwyl family on it.

Picture nr 1 is from the Hallwylska Palace, nr 2 is courtesy of Ritva (www.ritva.com) and her section of weekly magazines:

probably not the actual first steps. But one of the first :) I think I have read somewhere that the prince took his first steps around his first birthday, may 13 1980.
And these photos were taken at Solliden in the summer of 1980...

After years of guessing, we know it (quite) for sure. He must be between 1.72 and 1.74m (around 5'8)

Thank you very much, for this information, i thought he would be a little bit taller. I think 1.72- 1.74 is just small for a man. :o
That means he is smaller than me

mmh, how small is Emma then?

On many pictures, she is much smaller than CP. I guess about 1.60??!

5'8" seems about right for carl philip, although i would've put him around 5'10 ish.

Both Carl Philip and the King is quite short. I would say they are around 1.75 m. And yes, Emma is probably around 1.60...

That´s right, King Carl Gustav is already not really tall :)
On photos it seems, that just all of the family Bernadotte have quite the same body hight.

Other question, does anybody know, which relationship the swedish Bernadottes have to the Bernadottes on Isle Mainau/ Germany?

Very good relations I would say. They seem to have a close contact and enjoy each other's company. Last year the Royal Family went to Mainau to celebrate the late Count Lennart's 95th birthday, and just this weekend the King and Queen attended a memorial concert there (pictures in the Family News thread).
