Thank you for the nice pictures of Emma. A long time has ceased where no picture of her were made.

I agree with you, she is quite nice and cosy. Princess Emma seems to be the name we have to accept in the future in the Royal House of Sweden.:)

He was only allowed to participate because he is a prince (others mostly professional and world elite drivers) and probably because of the "extra" PR, so I think he could have made the effort to talk to the press and wave to the crowd...
I don t undersand you people, because he is royal he should do whatever journalists and the public wants 24/7? For crying out loud!! In that case, lets ask him to get undressed in front of the camera etc... I am sure MANY people would enjoy (I would anyway)

But seriously, the swedish royals are the most open ones to the press by far! In my country (Netherlands) more then one royalty journalist showed his amazement that the swedish royals actualy talked to the press etc. as here the royals most of the time do NOT talk to any journalist at all. You in Sweden are so spoiled already (open and very attractive royals), so let Carl-Philip enjoy the VIP lounge.

Thank you ver much bigheadshirmp for finding and posting the new pictures of Emma! I agree with all of you, it's very nice to see her again, something we're certainly not spoiled with. But good for her that she can live such a private life. It was nice to see both her and Victoria cheering for Carl Philip at the race. Emma seems to get along very well with all of the royal children, and it's said that the whole Royal Family likes her very much. And I agree with that, she seems to be a very nice and down to earth girl, very sweet and happy.

Let's hope for a wedding one day - Princess Emma, Duchess of Värmland (sounds great btw)! :)

I'm not too fond of that pic of him at the Go-Kart race....maybe its the angle it was taken.....don't know.
But I would still date him....no matter what .

No that´s not what I meant. But in this particluar case, he was there as prince of Sweden (dont think a "normal" 25 year old with no skills would have been invited to join a race like this) and because of that I think he should have been "grateful". Ah, I can´t find the right words , but do you know what I mean?

I dont think its to much to ask for at all. Ofcourse he has the right to a private life and thats none of our buisness to "get involved in" but this isn´t what I would call a private event.
Its kind of an "both keep the cake and eat it", as we say in Sweden, situation

I understand what you mean. Just a few words. He must have a certain amount of skill and talent to do this go-karting racing. But he was largely given the opportunity to participate because he is a prince. So I understand that a few words would have been okay. That being said, I agree with Marengo in that the Swedes are problably the most forthcoming of the royal families. So it is a tough balance.

Ofcourse, our royal family is very open and probably more "available" than many others and I´m very happy for that. More news and photos for the people :)
And they have a very nice "balance", allowing the press to follow them, close but not to close.

But I meant this particular case...

Carl Philip gets his wings clipped

Prince Carl Philip has got himself into hot water after competing in a go-carting competition sponsored by energy drink Red Bull.

The dashing prince, dressed in racing drivers’ overalls, took no fee for driving in the “Red Bull Ultimate Driver Race” outside the Royal Palace in Stockholm at the weekend, but pictures of him participating were splashed all over the next day’s tabloids, netting a real PR coup for the makers of the controversial beverage.

Thank you, rchainbo

From the article:

Royal press secretary Ann-Christine Jernberg was on message when Dagens Nyheter called.

“This was a well [
chance] for Carl Philip to test his wings,” she told the paper, “ and not to promote Red Bull in any way.”

An other great example for Ann-Christine´s great work Red Bull (which is IMO not more dangerous than a strong coffee) advertises in almost all countries with the slogan "Red Bull gives you wings"

Default Motor sport or designer?

And what will Carl Philip do after his studies ... more motor sport or working as a designer? When will he finish his studies?

Hot water because as a royal he has to walk that fine line between going to an event that is sponsored by a company and not showing that he is promoting the product or the company. Red Bull is quite controversial and thus, the prince, had to be careful. But he didn´t say anything about the company nor did he appear in photos to drink it. Thus, it´s a matter of the press being bored with their one(same say one half) brain cell. :)
