Ms. Hellqvist's tattoo is an epitome of trashiness.

I'm not a fan of tattoos and I'm not so sure about Sofia's; but at least she only has two fairly small ones and not lots of big ones. On another note, Carl Philip is very handsome!

Tattoos are a personal choice, and there's something very ugly and bullying about making disparaging remarks about someone else's body. It's ok if tattoos are not your cup of tea and if you wouldn't personally get one, but there's no reason to call someone else trashy or disgusting, or imply that someone is foolish because they made a choice you wouldn't make.

Well,I am not very fond of tattoos and I am not a fan of Sophia´s tattoos either.
However I do not judge people based on their appearance, nobody is trashy only because of wearing a tattoo!
For certain occasions/dresses tattoos can also be covered with make-up,or completely removed with laser;-)

I know that. I just wanted to point out that her tattoo is at a place where it can be easily seen with certain dresses and certain hairdos.

I suspect she will either avoid those dresses and hairdos, and/or cover up the tattoos with makeup. There's some effective stuff out there now that people use to cover birthmarks, etc., that won't rub off on her clothes.

Of course she might embellish the tatts with sequins and other shiny things, and make a feature of them.

The press of course adore her. She is very photogenic and always keen on giving them good shots. But she'd better be careful, as the press are never reliable friends. They might turn against her as soon as negative headlines promise more sales.

For gods sake, she's on a boat in a swimsuit and they're taking pictures from a distance. It looks like she's just trying to move.

Surely this is not the first time you have seen a picture of a woman in a bikini straightening out her towel before settling down to get some sun. If that is considered trashy then probably most women under the age of 60 have been trashy at some stage in their lives and if you go to the beach or the pool today probably every woman there today has been in this "trashy" pose at least once during the day.

I have to agree 100% with this! Now, as stated below, it might be best to try and be more discrete about it when she enters the family by choosing the appropriate attire to cover them. But, all in all, it's not fair to judge her for inking herself if she chooses just because you don't agree with the idea. It's a personal choice.

Well said. She can't help that she is being snapped with her bum in the air in a bikini moving on a boat to sun bathe next to her man. They were taking hundreds of shots hoping to get the best ones possible be it good or bad, depending on the press they wanted to write about this. The ones like this likely for hateful and negative and the prettier ones of we walking in the black shirt looking beautiful for positive press... Just saying!

The ideal princess type has completely changed over the years.

Many people have this Cinderella idea in their head, and that is not reality! Sofia obviously does not fit into that and likely never will as a result of her past transgressions, but even the other princesses who have married into other families (ie Mary and queen Maxima) were criticized because they were not perfect and the ideal princess type!

The world and the face of royalty has changed people!!

Carl Philip and Sofia know, like the rest of the royal family, that if they go to St. Maxime, they will get photographed, like the king and queen have been photographed every year. They don't seem to mind the photographers. At first when the royal family started to go there, they weren't photographed so much or so closely. During the last years there are more and more paparazzis than before.
In Solliden king got a larger protection zone in 2010, now it is 800 metres straight out of the water.

Carl Philip and Sofia have been looking for two churches in Öland during the summer.

Most of the young women marrying into the current Royal families today do not fit the "princess wife" criteria of even a generation ago and would have been rejected outright.
