Sofia tall? According to Svensk Damtidning she is as tall as queen Silvia, 165 cm. And that seems right, at this Sofia's modelling card her height is 165 cm.

Very young children cannot sit still anywhere especially in church where there is nothing to amuse them and I think it's unfair to a couple getting married to have toddlers making noise and jumping around during their ceremony. I remember Estelle calling on Victoria and trying to get to her when she was reading at Maddie's wedding and she and Daniel seemed to think it was amusing. I didn't think it was at all but still no 3rd party discreetly led her away, they seemed to be enjoying their daughter being the centre of attention even though it wasn't the time or the place. Probably if it was one of their nieces or nephews. Madeleine seemed to enjoy it too. It's always easier when it's children from your own family. Had it been someone elses children it would have been another story

That's why there are two kinds of weddings. With or without kids. I would love if a kid acted funny at my wedding. I love kids and think weddings are an occation for the whole family. Then there are the other kind that want everything to go perfect and have the focus soley on them. Neither is better than the other, but I don't think a cute toddler (that's not acting out with a tantrum) is a disturbance. It depends on the couple but also the kid.

Madeleine invited Victoria and Daniel to bring Estelle for a reason. She clearly wanted her niece to be there on her special day, perfectly well knowing that inviting toddlers to a wedding can be a noisy affair. I distinctly remember her smiling at Estelle's little outburst – just like both she, Chris and the King smiled when she made a little noise at Leonore's christening. She clearly didn't mind.

Well I think we all know that just because someone is on the calendar of the website, it doesn't mean a thing. No body has any idea if Madeleine will attend or not, not even Madeleine or her doctors. June 13th is a loooong time away, and much can change. Not that I am predicting anything awful, but she just doesn't know how she will feel. If their speculations are correct, the wedding sounds banal to anyone not personally connected or involved. I have found my interest in the couple's actions and decisions waning. Natural curiosity was initially stimulated, and I will likely look at her choice of dress, but overall, the whole thing feels underwhelming.

I have to admit my interest has waned also. It also did under the sheer weight and malicious and negative media attention surrounding Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert of Monaco. I am just glad I didn't ignore the actual wedding with one of the most stunning and romantic brides and a modern day Monaco wedding special!

I also hope that the overwhelming weight of negative everything surrounding the wedding of Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding doesn't ruin it for them. I'll be tuning in or online to see whatever I can see because it is a royal wedding and they seem to provide a variety of points of interest.

Thank you for echoing my sentiments very eloquently. I will definitely watch the wedding and perhaps play the "who do you recognize" game I play watching royal weddings. Who attends and who doesn't has no meaning for me. Its their wedding and their day and if they choose to have Bozo the Clown and Sponge Bob in the wedding party, its their choice. Now that would be amusing wouldn't it??

Oh, but that wedding was with a ruling prince! Nothing could tarnish that! It was going to be knock-out gorgeous 'just because' of Albert's position.

The thought of having "Sofia's friends" at wedding makes me fear the SRF risk being embarassed in front of their guests. I suggest keeping the royal invites to a minimum.

The image of the SRF, beginning with the bad publicity generated by King Carl Gustav, has taken a real pounding in recent years. What is very badly needed here is a major dose of gravitas. And I'm sorry but friends of the controversial bride who have starred in snuff films for Playboy is not going to accomplish that. All of the tiaras and fairy tale castles and churches in the world will not make up for a guest list like that!

Just take a look at how some of the Italian tabloids are discussing/describing Sweden's soon-to-be newly minted princess:

If for no other reason than out of a desire to shield her new in-laws from as much embarrassment as possible.
