King Willem-Alexander was yesterday for the last time at the controls for KLM Cityhopper. After spending 21 years guest kite in society and therefore at Martinair, let retrained for operating a Boeing 737 of KLM parent. Today in the Telegraph an exclusive interview to read the King over his guest airmanship, which he carries passengers twice a month who have no idea that the king is in the cockpit. "I'm flying just fantastic."

Koning Willem-Alexander: "Ik vind vliegen gewoon fantastisch" | De Oranjes

Good for him! Lol I flew several times KLM, now I wonder was he the co-pilot?

The Royal couple unfortunately did not have the ability to interrupt their holidays for the historic final of the European Football Championship. After they played it himself through a reaction completion of the victory:Koninklijk paar: "Wat een geweldige prestatie van onze*Oranjevrouwen*om dit Europees Kampioenschap te winnen op eigen bodem!" | De Oranjes

King Juan Carlos did attend the final at Roland Garros, Crown Prince Frederik did attend the final in Enschede, and no any other member of the Royal House, not even nearby living Princess Margriet managed to attend the final?

Hmm... okay, each their own considerations.

Prince Pieter-Christiaan was at the game. He is a member of the royal family. But I am a bit disappointed that Willem-Alexander and Maxima didn't come.

Pieter-Christiaan is no member of the Royal House, he is not in line of the throne, he has no any royal function. It was strange that the future King of Denmark was not escorted by someonw from the royal family. I thought this was a perfect occasion for Amalia, Alexia, Ariane, Eloïse and Leonore to attend the Ladies' Final as girls together.

Missed opportunity. They should have been able to find a spot for someone within the House to attend.

There were negative letters-to-the-editor in some newspapers regarding the absence of the King and Queen at the Final of the European Championships Football for Women, held in The Netherlands, not bene. Maybe the declining health of Máxima's father was a factor in this.

Queen Máxima has a brace, a transparant one, "on advice of the Queen's dentist, to correct the upper bite", according the Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst (State Information Agency): picture

Perhaps the photo is of an earlier week? Schools have started on August 20th in the area where they are living.

The article said that they were there for one day only , really a long trip just for one day! They arrived Saturday at 6 am and left sunday at 2 pm .
So I guess school it was ok

:previous: Thank you to those who for sharing the photos of Maxima and Amalia in Argentina - wow, that's a busy day for them both! I can imagine that, given the fact Amalia is wearing black (or it could just be a coincidence), they are preparing for Maxima's father's funeral. Schools often let children miss a day for a funeral.

The magazine , said it was 2 weeks after funera1l, they had been only 2 days I Argentina, arriving Saturday , returning Sunday! crazy trip because it is so long the flight! and expensive but of course for her money is not a problem

The Caras article above mentions their arrival on Sunday morning and return on Monday afternoon (with return in the Netherlands on Tuesday around mid-day), so that would mean that the princess of Orange missed two days of school.

that is a long trip to only be in the city for a day and a half indeed! maxima and amalia must both have been quite tired after that (although at least they didnt have to deal with economy flights like most of us!). despite the long trip, both maxima and amalia looked their usual stylish selves. i see amalia was carrying a sleeping bag though?

did they visit to check how the family was doing following mr. zorreguieta's death?

Oh okay. My Spanish isn't good enough to read the article quickly given the fact that I had limited time when I was typing that particular post; and thus also couldn't translate. I guess Maxima and Amalia went out there to visit their Argentinian family post-funeral.

King Willem-Alexander he is going to Curacao

"His Majesty the King leaves Sunday, accompanied by Minister of Plastics of Interior and Kingdom Relations, to Curacao. There they are informed about the assistance provided from Curaçao for the benefit of the upper winds. On-site visits are made, whenever and when it is possible to visit Saint Maarten, Saba and Saint Eustatius."

It is not "Minister of Plastics" , it is Minister Ronald Plasterk, who is the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations indeed. It is the second from left / the third from right on this picture.

Wait so they took that info from one of Alexia's personal social media accounts. I don't know how to feel about that info, hmm
